Don't know, it doesn't sound like an "electronica drone" to me.

I genuinely believe this will be their best album yet and will be a defining album of recent times. That may sound ridiculous but I havent heard a critic say anything bad about it yet and everyone on here seems to have embraced it!

If I'm being honest the only album that was truly defining for me in the last few years or so was Funeral by Arcade Fire. Can Coldplay make a defining record? Yes absolutely. Will it be this album. Maybe not. But then some believe they've already made a defining record. For me they have and that's A Rush Of Blood To The Head.

 

But I believe they can top that effort.

DLIBYH being advertised as the sister track to ETIAW should scare me, yet it doesn't. I think it'll be alright lyrically.

It did me too, but fuck it. This album is gonna be amazing no matter what, that is for certain!!

Every article I read about this album it makes me believe what I already think this album will be a masterpiece, Mylo Xyloto will be epic!

Am i right with the feeling that it is a 13 song album + Princess of China ? :) It seems to be soooo different from ALL the other tracks...

If it's a masterpiece to you it's a masterpiece to you. That's all that matters I guess. I hope it's going to be my favourite Coldplay album. Given the nature of some of the songs it may just well be. Charlie Brown and Hurts Like Heaven are probably the two most awesome songs they've ever performed.

They say Rihanna's presence is well suited on the song. A lot said on how far away it is from traditional Coldplay sound that we heard on Parachutes and the likes. Positive reception to the song.

 

Despite Rihanna's presence on the song I am still most interested in this track. From the dodgy cam recording on youtube I do love the heavy synths on it.

Yes it is complimentary about that and all the other tracks. Basically, it says that coldplay have handled the inclusion of a hip hop artist well and adapted it for her. They made the comparison that it wouldnt sound right, her being on Dont Panic, but they have created the song so it suits her style! Hope this helps.

Funny, every article I've read so far, makes me think I've already heard all the best tracks in it. Nevertheless, looking forward to hearing "Don't Let it Break your Heart". Seems all the other (with the exception of Princess of China) are short quiet songs...
