Wow, you're clearly in love with it. Don't you have anything else to listen to?( Not trying to be rude or anything.)

Hah! It always makes me chuckle when we as such an advanced race say such silly things.

like, when people say something and then say something else that contradicts what they just said. I do it all the time.

Like, if I'm in a whorehouse - and I frequently am - I'll be all like.

'bitches be whore's... no offense'

and they be like 'playa whaaaa? you just god damn contradicted yo' self! and I'm all like, 'Nu-uh!'

it's a crazy world we live in.

I am so tired. :square:

Is it so unusual for someone to have only one band in their music library? Because I'm familiar with that case. Yes, you really are tired, to put it mildly.

That Joe Cortazzo leak weirdo only listened to Coldplay. Ever. I wonder where he went? He was interesting.

NOTHING ELSE WILL DO

Well it's not the case of having only one band in the library, at least on mine, but a huge part of it is Coldplay (769/6345 - It's a HUGE percent if you count that the second one is U2 with 263/6345).

And that Joe guy is really weird 'cause he always said shit about the new era and then one day he was like a crazy trying to find a leak for MX. I just don't get it.

it's strange not to like the album that have a cool pseudo nature.

I have not heard the album, but if we remove the massive production for buy. and if you listen to the concerts live. I do not know but makes me think with all these sounds folklores bagpipes xylophones and all its news symbols remember this old clip.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USFr5VeLQ2o]Midge Ure - Breathe - YouTube[/ame]

is one of the songs that made me cry so much in the past you know when you feel alone in life and just the sounds of bands or singers.

is one of my favorite singer Midge Ure and Ultravox but is not modern as coldplay

I don't care people that doesn't like the album (lie, I care, but I won't try to change their mind anymore) but I can't deal with someone trying to make the OTHERS doesn't like it too.

What's your problem? Go listen to

(Fucking)

Muse,

(Fucking)

Radiohead, if people LIKE the album there's no problem with this. The problem is on you.

Why do you sound so affected by this? You, more than all of the "horrible" people in here, should be banned too if we use your dumb logic. You have issues.

umm yes it still interesting

Without saying weither I like the album or not, I must say that I agree that the degree of excitingness has already plummeted for me.

I waited untill release day to buy and listen to it, but I don't think I've listened to it more than 5 times really. So it's not like I got bored of the album per se, but I'm just no into it anymore.

I actually blame the fact that we knew almost half the songs before for this. I'm not calling it a bad move, but the 'newness' of the album isn't completely there. When I first listened to VLVODAAHF, it was one new sound/song after the other. And now, I had to listen to 8 songs before hearing a new one (instrumentals not included).

if I compare this album with Parachutes or most of AROBTTH I can say that this Mylo Xyloto is freaking HEAVEN, the other two (in my opinion) are truly booooring. Sad coldplay is more sentimental, sure, but this fresh coldplay is better for me.

I insist, it's my opinion. I think you all "old coldplay fans" shouldn't criticise this album so much and just change your minds. Now the old coldplay is dead, long live the new Coldplay, you know what I mean? Just enjoy the songs, please. You're getting annoying with so much talking and negative critics....

You'll swallow your words the next 2 albums when they sound nothing like MX.

I like MX, seriously. No hate here.

But AROBTTH is NOT boring. You take that back right now or I'll personally make sure you eat your parents in some chili.

I concur!

But honestly, I think this is the majority of the problem with this album. Yes, studio versions are sometimes (drastically?) different from live versions*, but out of the seven odd songs that we heard, most of them sounded almost the same, or even worse, than they had live (i.e. Hurts Like Heaven sounded much better live; Charlie Brown was pretty much the same). And then there was the EP, which I'm not complaining terribly about because otherwise we never would have heard Moving to Mars, which gave us two more songs that were destined for the album. So all in all:

Total Album Songs: 14

Instrumentals: 3

Songs Heard Live: 4 (MM, HLH, CB, UAtW) or 6 (including UIF and PoC if you listened to the low-quality recordings)

Others Released Before Album: 2 (Paradise and ETiaW [which was also obviously played live])

So, depending on how many songs you listened to, you got either 3 or 5 new songs (not including instrumentals), which is enough for a respectable EP, but not a full-length album.

*I realize that the guys were kind of between a rock and a hard place making that decision, but I just wish that they hadn't played so many songs. I think playing just CB, ETiaW, and HLH would have worked better.

Well, I like it. I've been listening to it non-stop since it got released.

Though, now that I've got Florence + The Machine, that would probably take over soon...until the next album come out (Snow Patrol).

Give us our b-sides, live recordings/shows, and then happy trails Coldplay, see you in two years for LP6. Hope it doesn't suck now that you've got this one out of your system.

How can you say AROBTTH is boring. One of the best albums since.... so fuc**** long. It's a master piece.

Wat.

we all have our own opinions

we all have our own favorites

we all have our own feelings

so far, my favorite is MX and i'm enjoying every bit of it. and that's me. ^^

COD MW3 is kinda over-shadowing MX for me right now...

but music is timeless- not all music- but MX is:D

I think a collection of the band, the fans and their preconceptions are hindering the experience of MX and answers why some are finding the album not so interesting after a few listens.

The band: I personally don't see the benefit of playing so many songs before the album is even announced. 2-3 songs maybe, but playing 11/14 is far too much.

The fans: To be fair, an average fan wouldn't have been following the band as closely as most of us on this forum have. In following them to the degree that we have, we have heard more content than perhaps we should have. Basically ruining the surprise of new songs.

Preconceptions: I personally did not like the drum machine in "Up In Flames" or the hip hop influence, but this was after I gave the songs many listens. However, to look at a song's performers and see Rihanna's name and make a snap judgement based on what you think you know about her is ignorant and the basis of so much that is wrong with humanity. Hip hop is not my thing but I kept an open mind and enjoyed the songs as a whole regardless of some of its composition.

All in all, if you like the album (or any album, or any thing!) you will continue to go back to it and it will remain relevant and interesting. If you don't like the album, there is little to no chance of convincing you. You can say you don't like the album because it's not your taste but you can't say it's because it's bad; yes there's a difference.

Agreed!

I am not even sightly close to think that one day I could think about the possibility of maybe, who knows get a little bit tired of this Piece Of Art.
