Ri-Play at the Brit Awards (The Sun)

Ri-Play sounds terrible :wtf: Although I love the song, but I'm afraid they're gonna screw it up somehow...

She is TERRIBLE live. Just terrible. Look at her performances on YouTube. This can't be good. Watch out after that, it'll be worst than X-Factor.

will the Brit Awards be available online somewhere (hopefully) or broadcast on TV?

I'm looking forward to it in a way but at the same time not... I can't stand Rihanna :( Oh well, she might surprise me :P

all we can do is wait... but i prefer Chris singing alone in that song like in this video:

Funny seeing Chris performing here makes me believe the duet with Rihanna might actually work. I wasn't sure what he'd be doing but now I'm looking forward to it.

Please DO NOT DO THE DUET Coldplay.

1. You need NO ONE to have a duet with.

2. Any duet cheapens Coldplay the group.

3. After Rihannas grotesque appearance as of late, Coldplay SHOULD NOT associate themselves with her.:shocked2:

4. Coldplay and JayZ duet was a flop as well. :o

Coldplay- stick to who you are. Don't cheapen yourself.

NO -DUET's , please ....:)

^ I'll tell you who they are: they are an incredible band with good taste. I'm sure they'll find a way to make it work. :)

(at first I was sceptic, but, hey, I was sceptic about X-factor and finally they stole the show and made an amazing performance  )

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and music is about as subjective as it gets... having said that, I just saw Rihanna perform at the O2 in London a few weeks ago, and I thought she was phenomenal. Honestly, as much energy as Chris Martin puts into his live performances, the same is with her - she is incredible, and leaves it all on the stage.

Another thing that I noticed is that she is still very grounded, given her mainstream success and popularity (and I feel the same way about Coldplay). There were a few moments where I noticed that she was genuinely moved emotionally by feedback from the crowd, and kind of turned away from the stage to collect herself.

I also had an opportunity to meet her after the show, and she is a really nice and sincere person... so it's kind of disappointing to read people here dismissing her here in an unkind way. She is a real person you know...

Like I said, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but you don't have to be mean about it...

For me personally, Princess of China is one of my favorite songs off MX.

Anyway, I did put a variety of videos I shot at her show on my website, and I don't think I'd say any of them were terrible, even if I didn't like her genre of music. LINK

Rihanna needs to be on a good day to sing well, her Rock In Rio gig was a disaster (she was having a party with another headliner, Katy Perry, so she got to the stage 45 minutes late and let the backing vocals and playback sing most of the songs as she seemed quite drunk). But as this is a TV/Award show she will do it fine :)

oh fuck, this could turn bad

hope for best *crossfingers*

TY Jason! Though I wouldn't pay attention to Rihanna if she weren't associated with Coldplay, some of the posts about her here are just ridiculous. She's obviously a very talented person and deserves to be on the same stage with Coldplay. The band certainly think so or they wouldn't have invited her to sing on that track. As you said, everyone is entitled to their opionion, the band always have the last word and will do as they please.

Oh, and how was the duet with Jay-Z a flap? According to who?

I'm all for the duet. Princess of China is my shit.
