OK ... your guys's excitement (along with the last of response to my thread soliciting music ideas) has got me downloading Absolution.

 

What should I be expecting.

Oh man, absolution the best... okay... you can expect great bass lines. (Hysteria's bass is the best)... beautiful vocals (sing for absolution) great drums (apocalypse please) and brilliant guitar riffs (stockholm syndrome) ooh, and time is running out is a great track too! and butterflies and hurricanes! and... ah, the whole album is brilliant! :D

I want to listen to it again soon to crystalize my thoughts, but "Sing for Absolution" followed by "Stockholm Syndrome" really packs a punch in the middle of the album. The rest of the album fade back into a more somber exploration, but after "Stockholm Syndrome" the listen is probably ready to lay back for a while.
