Yeah I am bragging too. Saw them last night at the Melbourne Big Day Out.

 

I have two videos, FULL starlight, and the ACDC cover. When I get time, I will add.

 

I wrote about Muse:

 

After over four hours of standing and waiting in the same spot, the day had come to this. We were in the mosh for Muse, which inherently was a major achievement in itself. Matt, Dom and Chris came out to a rapturous applause, god knows how many people were behind us, and it would have been well over 40,000. Openers Uprising and Supermassive Blackhole set the mood – at this stage, I had shifted into the eye of the mosh, and was now positioned about 8 rows back facing the very center of the stage – I claimed it was the best spot in the house. The classic New Born sent the crowd into hysterics, and the D section jumping – it was an amazing live experience that seemed to vanish all of my dehydration, tiredness and physical soreness with every note. New track Undisclosed Desires was impressive complemented by an amazing laser show – thank god it finally got dark after Powderfinger had finished their set. A major surprise came next with my favourite track off the latest album played – MK Ultra – a noticeable exclusion from the Gold Coast setlist at least. Hysteria followed, a track that just sounds so much better played to a jumping crowd in the live setting. This along with Time Is Running Out were clear Melbourne crowd favourites; the mellower United States of Eurasia providing brief relief and impressive accompanying background visuals before tearing though personal favourite Starlight. At this time, I thought I was in heaven, then newie Unnatural Selection became the cherry on top. Shortly after, Nick Cester from Jet joined the band on stage to perform and sing a cover of ACDC’s Back In Black – of which the local crowd thoroughly enjoyed. An encore later and from memory, Plug in Baby drew both huge cheers and a mass sing-along and then a rushed Knights of Cydonia promptly closed an amazing live set that I will never forget. No wonder they have been multiple winners of NME’s “Best Live Act” award.

now i know im not the biggest contributor to this thread so im not in any position to say this but i thought i would throw it out there anyways (unless it has already been discussed previously)

 

i was thinking it was time we do one of those two things. either track down the person who started this thread (Counting Demons) and get them to edit the poll attached to the thread (can a mod do that?), to include The Resistance. alternatively we could start a whole new thread with all 5 albums in the poll, you know, start afresh.

 

its just a suggestion and i dont really expect anyone to follow through with it. just i think its a good idea.

The setlist is so short because Big Day Out is a music festival.

I'm pretty sure Muse play for around 1 hour 50 minutes at their normal shows. :)
