MATT WAS THERE.

 

Ryan Seacrest was talking to one of the contestants (James, I believe), and he asked him, "Are you a Kate Hudson fan?" James said, "Yeah, I like her" or something like that. Anyway, they put the camera on Kate. Her son Ryder was with her, and Matt was sitting to her left. This is what happened:

 

Me: -GAAAAASP!- Matt Bellamy! :cheesy: :dazzled:

Mom & Dad: :inquisitive: ... :shrug: -carries on with life-

Me: :dazzled: :wacky:

Apparently, he's been having a (hopefully) lovely vacation in Mexico and California. :wacky: He should drop by my city, even though there's nothing to do here.

 

On another Muse related note, we're doing a March Madness thing at ontd_muse with a bunch of Muse songs. :awesome: It's good fun . . . even though we just mostly rant/scream/sob over how "[insert Muse song title]" is losing to "[insert another Muse song title]" and how it's messing up our own brackets.

Wait, Muse March Madness? I WANNA PARTICIPATE.

^ :awesome: We're on Round 3 now. It can get a little crazy with the matches and sometimes you want to yell at the computer ( :blank: ), but it's pretty awesome. And fun.

 

If you want to actually participate in the voting, you'll need to have a LiveJournal account and then join the ontd_muse community.

 

Or if you don't want to do that, I could just report what the results are each week. :tongue:

OK, so I was going to try to make my own bracket.

 

IT'S WAY TOO HARD. I CAN'T. :bigcry:

 

With that being said, I'm going to keep a hard copy bracket of what goes on and go from there.

 

Here's what I didn't like about the results of Round 2:

 

1. "Sunburn" beating "Hoodoo." Yeah, "Sunburn" is a classic, but "Hoodoo" is so beautiful and completely underrated. I love "Hoodoo" to pieces.

2. "New Born" beating "Escape." Same reasoning as #1. I know, I know. "New Born" is awesome. It's just that "Escape" is arguably my favorite track on "Showbiz." Wolsty and I share that view. :heart:

3. "The Small Print" beating "Unintened." WHAT THE HELL, GUYS. :wreck:

4. Some of the match-ups for Round 1 going into Round 2 were torturous. USoE vs. MoTP? Awful. RBS vs. ToaDE? Torturous. I hated that one SO BLOODY MUCH. :bigcry:

5. And now, going into Round 3, it gets even harder. "Megalomania" vs. "Apocalypse Please?" "Hysteria" vs. "Glorious?" ARE YOU SERIOUS? :wreck:

 

Mkay. I'm done. For now.

While I'm not participating in this bracket thing, I can't say I'm too bothered by most of the results, with awesome tracks like Blackout, Ruled By Secrecy, and MotP making it past tough competitors and DEAD STAR LOST TO KNIGHTS OF CYDONIA ARE YOU SKANKS SERIOUS? I mean, putting 95% of Muse songs against Knights is probably a death wish, so that's just unfortunate seeding, but Dead Star going down in Round 1 is still quite painful.

I like The Small Print more than Unintended. :embarrassed:

Yes. I love Cave and all, but choice is clear.

Cave was my favourite song for ages, so it's difficult for me. D:

Yeah, that's a toughie. It seems like Glorious is the only non-Hullabaloo B-side they threw on there.

 

Stockholm vs. Darkshines and CE vs. Blackout are also difficult. Most of the others in Round 2 feature two awesome songs against one another, but one clearly being superior.

I know what you guys mean. Even Round 2 voting was really difficult for me. :freak: And I'm still miffed with some of the results, like how Unnatural Selection beat Uno (just because I love Uno way too much). :shifty:

That's what I did, and it came down to Sing for Absolution and Bliss. Now, Sing for Absolution is my favorite, but maybe it will change to Bliss (or some other song) in a month. :P

i always listen to it before job interviews and in past before exams:awesome:

I used to not care for Knights at all, but then I started listening to more live versions of it and it began to slowly grow on me. And then I listened to the HAARP version with Dan the Trumpet Man ( :awesome: ), and it won me over.

 

I love the outro in the one they played at Abbey Road (5:45 - 6:14). :wacky:

Speaking of brackets, there's also a Musical March Madness taking place on MTV.

 

Why does this apply to you Musers? Muse is the #2 seed in the South division. You need to vote for them to ensure that they at least get far, if not win the whole thing. (Which is exactly what I have happening in my dream bracket.) In the first round, they're facing Cobra Starship. Muse is winning at the moment, but you never know what could happen. You should go here to vote for Muse. :heart:
