Cockatiels are fun birds. My Dad always tell me a story about one he used to have that would whistle a song with him while dancing on his head. LOL! I'm sorry about the one that died. :cry:

They are all so cute :blush: I had 2 budgies but they were really noisy. One got killed by my cat and the other died of depression :sad: I like how they all have a personality and story :nice:

 

All budgies are chatty to some extent, having more amplifies it especially when they get into arguments :lol: Sorry to hear about yours. I've heard stories about budgies being depressed after their mate dies and refusing food and water :sad:, they just really seem to bond with their other at times.

 

That's why I really like them - their personalities are so different yet prominent for such a small bird... watching them interact is interesting. Their life stories kinda shape that too.

Boris (blue one) has a bruised foot from a fight right now so he's with his mate (the little one) and separated from the others, and he's been more quiet than usual. Also preferring to sit on his ok foot and was squeaking in pain when he went to preen the sore one... so the little bird is taking to preening him to make him feel better :nice: sah cyut

I'm hoping to get some more of these "temporary" pets outside my door this spring :nice:

You know they don't look crash hot by any means but they're just cute and little anyway, especially when they huddle

My mom got herself a puppy to keep her company while she watches daytime telly.. I wanted a mutt from the pound, but she said no and got a Havanese cross
