Why they keep underrating the song :(

Which graffiti wall are you talking about? It is odd that it isn't on the wall from the Brits...

How on earth have you come to the conclusion that they're underrating it? :confused:

Yes, I'm talking about the BRITS graffiti wall... there's a promo video and all of the songs of MX are there, except for Charlie Brown and Don't Let It Break Your Heart (if I'm ok) ... and both are so good...

 

 

I came to the conclusion they are underrating the song:

 

1. It was meant to be the single on September but then they (dont know if their managers or the band) changed their mind and decided to release Paradise.

 

2. At Grammys they decided to play Princess of China, I was already thinking it was the wrong decision, but then they informed they were gonna play 3 songs. 1 rihanna, 1 coldplay and 1 both... Charlie Brown video was already uploaded and Paradise is single since september (5 months old), so I thought it was pretty obvious they were going to play Charlie Brown, but then again, they made a plane performance with an acoustic version of PoC and the pacific Paradise... not explosive or amazing wonderful things that they could with Charlie.

 

3. No one certainly knows if there will be an official single release... in some countries they already play it on radio, others don't... there are some pics about a promo single which is only a promo and doesnt seem to be the official, and it seems they're going to release it as Download Single in UK on March 19th, but it's like... I dont think they're being intelligent...

I wouldnt say they are underrating it as they have said themselves how much they enjoy playing it live. I think it is more to do with hesitancy as they are undecided what to do for the best. If the release CB now, POC might not be as successful the longer they leave before they release it. :P

Im not sure why they delayed it, you could only guess that its likly to do with how well paradise did in the charts. BUT i listened to radio1 a while back and posted this on another thread that CB is out in shops on the 5th march

I'm not comparing actual songs, just demonstrating the confusion that arose after "the big hit". The following singles did very very poorly.

I wasn't a huge fan back then so I don't know if it was their fault (if they were reluctant to chose and promote a single and messed it up)

or the world simply didn't like any of the following VIVA era songs. :|

 

Lets hope things work out for CB and it at least matches the success of previous MX singles.

But in the end, it doesn't really matter. I'm only looking forward to new videos and maybe an EP.

It's true there's worrying aboutreleasing CB before PoC, but I can't say CB is necessarily underrated; after all it got two videos

Always prefered POC being the third single of Mylo Xyloto.

 

Why ? A simple reason to me... :

 

Charlie Brown fits PERFECTLY into late Spring or Summer months because its so uplifting and catchy (POC is that too,but in some other way) It would simply be fantastic driving your Cabrio and suddenly on the radio CB is played..wonderful !:)

 

So if i would have been Coldplay: POC now and Charlie Brown around May/June...unfortunately there is a video for CB now,thats the problem.

Yeah, I agree. Like ETIAW last summer. But it seems that they have taken CB too far to just drop it now and come back to it later... :\

I hope so!!! I hope it is a summer song!!! but I'm like worried since the video is already released... for me it's like... almost all the times Video and Single go out in a really close time!!!

 

But yeah... Unfortunately "Paradise" is the "Viva La Vida" of this album and I like Paradise, but I dont think it's the "Coldplay" song to deserve that... I think that song is Charlie Brown (that's why I get so stressed hahahaha)

 

But well... if people liked Paradise and it's gonna be like this... then... I wont complain anymore! I just hope Charlie Brown gets more recognition.... in Wikipedia it says that it's already a single and it has reached 55 place in UK... which is really bad for the Good the song is.... I hope they get at least a place in a top 10 :)!

I agree with you: CB deserves, to me, more recognition than Paradise, and it should have been the VLV of the album. However, unless they can make it bigger than Paradise, I think that Paradise is the VLV of the album :\
