Didn't they allude to something like this in the past which wound up being their charity thing? Maybe something along those lines...some kind of business venture apart from music.

Personally, this is the first time I'm really confident that the band probably has a long term future, as they (especially Chris') really seem to have become comfortable in their own skin as of late.

I completely agree.

They seem genuinely happy and thankful for what they're doing. They are happy, and that leads me to think that they're comfortable, which leads me to believe that they'll be around for a while. :)

 

 

Also, I think the announcement could have to do with the DVD?

A) Nothing at all--just the media reporting poorly and stringing quotes together

 

B) Something in relation to the tour / DVD

 

I highly doubt it's anything to do with the band splitting or taking a hiatus; they seem pretty happy where they are right now :shrug:

Appearantly, other more respectable music news outlets are now also reporting a major Coldplay announcement next week, but the timing seems to be perfectly in line with ComiCon next week, so it's probably something to do with the MX comic.
