So im gonna be honest, my computer sucks and ive been wanting one for awhile so i was thinking id maybe build a computer, i want to make one for gaming pretty much and just other stuff, should i dive into this or not, i have little expierence with the inside of computers

If you don't have experience, don't.

My dad's a software engineer and he's had a lot of trouble in the past building computers.

Build it anyway, how else are you meant to learn how to build computers if you don't get started.

 

Have a look online for any articles into suggestions of which parts are best, start collecting the parts and build from the ground-up

I would say: GO for it!

You know yourself the best, and having 'little experience is 100% more then I have :-)

If this what you really want to do, why holding up with doubts?

The questions and problems wich will show up when go start this project, ask for an open mind -> go out surching for the answers! It is (probably?) not dangerous, it won't harm anyone. So good luck on this quest; you will learn a lot you couldn't think of or imagine now. And I agree with Black Rose!
