Up In Flames new single taken from Mylo Xyloto - Impacting Date: November, 16th

Featured Replies

Here in Italy has been reported (via my website Coldplayzone.it but via EMI Italy too) that Up In Flames will be the brand new (the seventh in total) single taken from Mylo Xyloto. It will be on air from tomorrow and probably will be released as it is on Live 2012 DVD, so that version will be on air on the radios.

I personally think Hurts Like Heaven will be OFFICIALLY RELEASED on November, 19th, while the Up In Flames IMPACTING RADIO date will be tomorrow, waiting for the official proper single release.

It seems very unlikely to me, maybe they messed up and they actually meant Hurts Like Heaven?

We're pleased to report that the fifth and FINAL single from Mylo Xyloto will be Hurts Like Heaven. The full video is coming on Monday - but you can watch the trailer now...

Alright so this is clear, EMI Italy just fucked it up:P

I don't think EMI press agent could spell the title in a wrong way... I think Up In Flames will be the single that launches Live 2012 DVD...

Yeah, but this single could be taken from Live 2012 DVD, in fact is the unique song that has a video that combines the live performance and other images taken from the film footage...

Up In Flames new single?

I'll laugh a lot when it will be confirmed! :sneaky:

I'm pretty sure the band would have said something about it by now...

Maybe it's just a "promo single" for international audiences....

I'm gonna be mad if this is another $70 promo I have to buy.

I thought HLH was already the sixth and last single from MX

TRANSLATED:

Today, 13 November, Coldplay Live 2012 premiered for one night only in movie theaters around the world.

Arriving in stores on November 20, you can get your hands on Coldplay Live 2012. The British band will also return to radio with a new single taken from the award-winning album Mylo Xyloto, which has been certified three times platinum in Italy. The song chosen is "Up in Flames" and will be on radio airplay from Friday, November 16.

As a small taste of Coldplay Live 2012, the first live concert film of the band in 9 years that celebrates their acclaimed Mylo Xyloto world tour (a tour that, since June 2011, has been seen by more than 3 million people), the band has posted on their official channel

an extraordinary live performance of "Paradise" taken right from the DVD. Coldplay Live 2012 will be available on CD, DVD and Blu-ray.

In the lead up to Coldplay Live 2012, for one night only, the film will be screened in cinemas all over the world on November 13. You can find here the complete list of over 50 countries with how to buy tickets http://www.coldplay.com/cinema. In Italy, the film will be scheduled in the halls of circuit THE SPACE Extra.

The film, produced by JA Digital for EMI/Parlophone, was directed by Paul Dougdale, director of Adele's Live at the Royal Albert Hall and The Prodigy's World's On Fire. Coldplay Live 2012 includes scenes from concerts in Paris (Stade de France), Montreal (Bell Centre) and the triumphant Pyramid Stage performance at Glastonbury 2011. Here the trailer of the film:

Looks like Up in Flames will be the next promo at this point.

^ Yes it is... that's actually a normal number for acts like Rihanna but not for the rest.

Edit: wait. Isn't up ui flames the 6th? O.o

EMI, what are you doing? EMI, please, STOP!

New single or not ...

Whats the difference when there is no b-side ?

:( :( :(

1. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

2. Paradise

3. Charlie Brown

4. Up With The Birds, RSD Release but i think you can count is as a single, its also in the recordings section on the official coldplay webpage..

5. Princess of China

6. Hurts Like Heaven

7. Up In Flames?

No. that would mean, again that the half of an album is released as a single. No. No. No.

And even worser, 4 of them are released as a promo, 5 with Up In Flames... Hoping that Up In Flames gets a b-side. Fingers crossed...

^ Up With The Birds doesn't count for me...I do agree 4 singles should be enough.

HLH was definitely the final single so Up in Flames is probably just a radio single.

(is there a difference?)
