🌙 COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE MOON MUSIC OUT OCTOBER 4TH 🎵

Meeting Coldplay fans at random places

So I went to my sport class today where we all stand in front of a big mirror to see our gorgeous bodies (:charming:) during the workout, and I randomly look to my right and see this shirt

COL54544.jpg

on a girl and I'm like "holy SHIT A FAN" and scoot over to her and say:

"You got this from a live concert?" :wideeyed:

Her: "Uuuuh... yeah. Yes indeed!"

Me: :wideeyed:

Her: :uhoh:

Me: "Oh wow that's so cool, I barely see people liking this band  Did you go to one of the German concerts?"

Her: "Yeah, this one in Cologne!"

Me: "FOS? :charming:"

Her: "Nah, unfortunately not, I should have paid 10 more bucks, I guess it would have been worth it..."

Me: "I got front row" :awesome:

Her: "Aw man!"

And then we talked about the crappy toilet situation during the concerts and then unfortunately the classes began. But I kept standing behind her and was happily looking at her CP shirt from time to time :wacky:

/FANGURL

Now, is there anybody out there who has met other fans at random places as well?

^ it's kinda hard to suppress your inner fangirl during these moments :sweatdrop:

I think it was a year ago, NO, actually 2 years ago, I sat in the tram and in front of me sat another girl wearing a VIVA CREW 2009 shirt :freak: I was too shy to talk to her so I kept staring for 20 minutes

During this summer I went to tennis camp and one day I sat on the bench and then I saw a boy and he was wearing this shirt:

But I was too shy to go there and talk to him. He was with his friends :(

And the next day he left the camp...

hahaha I can imagine!

OH WAIT! :cheesy: I *have* met some Coldplay fans at a random place!

Actually, I'm not sure they were really *fans* and it wasn't that random because it was in Paris the day after the concert. HOWEVER, the story is pretty fun :cheesy:

I was in the subway to get to the train station to go home, and I was wearing my xylobands because I just couldn't leave them ya know:awesome: Standing about 2 meters from me, there was a couple, and the man was whistling In My Place, I believe :awesome: so I totally stared at him like :wideeyed: and I started tweeting like crazy  He also whistled Paradise and another song I believe. Anyway, the funny part was that he totally noticed me, or should I say my xylobands, and he touched his girlfriend arm and he looked in my direction, like: "hey, bb, see, she went to the concert last night too!!" I think he even said it out loud at some point :surprised: Guess what I did ? I could have come to them and be like: HEY! I bet you were at the concert last night! It was awesome wasn't it ? :cheesy: but no, no, instead I put my shy/defense mechanism mode on and pretended to not have noticed they had noticed me :no::shame:

Next time I have a suspicion someone is a Coldplay fan, I don't care, I'll jump on them

:uhoh:

I mean...you know....not in a pervy way or anything :uhoh:

I met coldplay fans but in places you'd expect, the concert and Live 2012 at the cinema :)

At live 2012 at the end a group of about 7 people came up to me (including a handsome Guy Berryman look alike) and questioned how to turn the xylobands on (I had mine switched on), I told them. End of story:D

Well yeah it's different when there are other people around, I only jump at potentially fans when they're alone

Holy poop, he was whistleing the whole time! :bomb: I would have been all over him :laugh3::lol: But that's an amazing story  Oh man, maybe I should wear my Xyloband from time to time, maybe some fan will notice :wacky: So funny he touched his girlfriend's arm

Next time I have a suspicion someone is a Coldplay fan, I don't care, I'll jump on them

An X&Y fan, that's ace! I bet this took a little bit of the pressure off the exam

I always hate it when I get interrupted while talking to a fan! :bomb:

i see my girlfriend almost every day, other than that it's no Coldplay fan in sight.... NEVER! :(
Don't worry, I bet you'll see one in the future, there are so many around, they're just hiding! :D

I've seen a couple kids in school who've worn their concert shirts :awesome:

fantastic, a young generation of Coldplayers :wacky:

I've never seen anyone wearing a Coldplay t-shirt in my town apart me (that is, I'm excluding the Nice concert ... And, I guess, my reflection on mirrors, too)... But I know a girl who goes to the same uni as me who is a huge Coldplay fan, and I actually "met" by chance on Facebook... Because I always add Coldplayers and one day I noticed, reading her info, that she lives kinda near me :awesome: So sometimes we meet and chat a bit...

I once heard a girl in my year talk about the Turin concert, but when I tried to become part of the conversation she was having with her friends saying I'd been to Nice, she totally ignored me... So I understood she clearly couldn't be a Coldplayer

By the way, I know there are a few members of a Coldplay tribute band that attend my course, I have no idea who they are, though, I haven't met or heard them yet :P

Also, a few days ago a friend of mine who's studying in Rome texted me because she saw a girl at uni with a Coldplay t-shirt and that made her think of me :wacky:

In the end... I don't mind not having die-hard Coldplayers as friends, at least until my actual friends can stand all my fangirling and stuff  For now, they seem to be very patient! And they enjoy some Coldplay songs too :awesome:

My best friend is a Coldplayer too, does it counts ? :D Also one of my friend is kind of a big fan because I see him posting about Coldplay a lot. But meeting random people? One boy in my school attached his two xylobands to a backpack but I never spoke to him. Any other Coldplayers I don't remember except National Stadium at the day of concert and on my way for concert but it is totally not a random place when you go at Coldplay gig there :D

I saw a guy on the library wearing a Viva t-shirt, but quickly looked away because shy :worried:

Other than that, I've just talked to colleagues who like Coldplay, but are not really fans. I think the band already has that status of 'quality band that I don't love, but respect and somewhat enjoy'.

yeah that is very right. Although there are still people who think that the band is so gay that is a shame to listen. That is the thing that I will never understand. First of all why do they think about them as a gay band. I know...Buckin haha but 'normal' people, not fans doesn't know about those little shipping things that Coldplayers share. Another thing is that being gay shouldn't be an insult but still is treated like that by some stupid morons

I saw a boy with a VLV era during an exam too :D

And actually at uni I saw also a boy wearing a X&Y t-shirt and another one wearing one from the MX European tour...but I'm too asocial sometimes to start talking with people I don't know...:laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

But I discovered that a good friend of my boyfriend is a big fan and I never knew it even if sometimes we went out all together.

And a friend of my best friend is a fan too and I was introduced to him like "The girl that wanna know you just because you are a Coldplay fan" :laugh3:

All these awesome stories!! :awesome:

Mine isn't really spectacular.. but I'm going to tell it anyway xD

Last February I was in the bus, and a girl sat down next to me. She was playing music on her iPod, and the sound was just loud enough for me to hear the drum rhythm from Paradise. She was nodding along and tapping her fingers to the beat of the music, so I thought 'Hey, she must really like them!'

So I pulled out my phone and headphones too and started to play Square One. I saw her peeking on my phone screen, so I looked up and we both had this 'You like Coldplay. I already like you.' smile on our faces  The end.

Woah I never saw any person during my school days wearing anything Coldplay related :anxious: I guess because they weren't that hyped at this time

Oh god this gay issue will never stop, will it? THEY. ARE. NOT. GAY. They have children for fucks sake asgdhadhgasdfl :bomb:

And the whole Buckin thing is just a major pervy inside joke amongst the Chris/Jonny fangirlies

Yeah it's kinda hard to talk to people that you don't know at all. I was only talking to that girl because we all had a reason to be in that room due the sport classes and so we kinda got to know each other. Talking to a stranger outside is a something completely different though :uhoh:

But I discovered that a good friend of my boyfriend is a big fan and I never knew it even if sometimes we went out all together.

HA I love this kinda silent agreement thing, nice having a Coldplay sitting right next to you

By the way, I love all of your stories :wacky: I don't know why, but they make me all fluffy and warm inside  LOL FEELINGS WHAT ARE YOU DOING

My friend and I were at the mall once in our Coldplay shirts when one of the store employees came up to us. They were asking about the concert and if we were fans and how amazing our shirts were. We talked for awhile about Coldplay amazingness and fangirling and then she left. It made me all fuzzy inside. :wacky:

I don't know if it counts but once when my english teacher asked me what music do I like and I responded I love coldplay she grinned and said that their music is brilliant and I have good taste Awww! :dazzled:

And my friend who don't like coldplay too much and she considers her music taste as the most brilliant thing in the world whispered to herself "I don't think so" and I almost hit her in the face...

But it really made my day!

Last year around the time when Coldplay were playing at Rock Am Ring, I sat down in the big hall of my university and overheard a conversation of 2 guys sitting ahead of me. They were saying: "What bands play at this festival? I heard Coldplay?! What the fuck is this gay band doing there?!"

And I was like "Okay Thalia, calm down, don't go over there and rip that guy's tongue out, just sit here and pretend that these guys will get hit by a truck afterwards :awesome:"

It's _SO_ annoying, UGH :shame:

We made our own bag for the concert (it was painted like the MX album cover and stuff. I'm very proud.) but we were just wearing tour shirts that day. :P: )

It's at my friend's house right now :( but if she comes later (or I go there. Either one.) I'll get a picture. I remember someone even told me how amazing it was when I was there. :awesome:
