It's at my friend's house right now :( but if she comes later (or I go there. Either one.) I'll get a picture.
Wow thank you, I can't wait for it!

I remember someone even told me how amazing it was when I was there. :awesome:

Last year around the time when Coldplay were playing at Rock Am Ring, I sat down in the big hall of my university and overheard a conversation of 2 guys sitting ahead of me. They were saying: "What bands play at this festival? I heard Coldplay?! What the fuck is this gay band doing there?!"

And I was like "Okay Thalia, calm down, don't go over there and rip that guy's tongue out, just sit here and pretend that these guys will get hit by a truck afterwards :awesome:"

It's _SO_ annoying, UGH :shame:

ugh I can't. Where does this come from even ? :veryangry2:

This is a cool thread.

I got iphone fixed free because of another fan.

It was last December. At the 02 I switched my iphone off to try and pick up the wifi inside the arena and the phone wouldn't switch back on. The APPLE of DEATH came up.. the phone had Died. :\

The next day I took it to a shop where the man behind the counter said. the phone needed to be reset to its factory settings and said, I hope you don't have any important photos on here, because you will lose it all.. :( I sadly explained that all I had were photos I had taken at the gig the day before.

He asked me what gig it had been and I told him Coldplay.

He said.. oh WOW I love Coldplay.. and we had a little chat about them and the albums we liked. He must have been HALF my age, but it really didn't matter.

Anyway he re-installed it all for me and sadly I did lose the photos I had taken. But when the time came to pay for it, he waved me away saying us Coldplay fans should stick together, this one's on me.

So Coldplay fixed my iphone for me. :D So cool.

Only gurls and gay people have emotions, which makes Coldplay a gay band

Wow, what a kind person he is! I rarely meet such awesome people

COLDPLAY FANS JUST PWN :bomb:

That's just so wrong. There are millions of straight guys who love Coldplay. Actually, the one who made me fall in love with Coldplay was an absolutely straight guy! It's not that just girls and gays have emotions, it's that ignorant people, as we say in Italy, have their "ears covered in ham", they're deaf and close-minded and prefer limiting themselves at believing in what they hear around them instead of looking for the truth. And, of course, I don't see how "gay" can be an insult. But many are still blind.

And honestly, I've never, ever heard anyone here in Italy say such bad things about them. Some don't enjoy their music, but most of the guys/girls I know like at least a few songs of theirs. Maybe I've simply been lucky, but honestly... When I began reading those comments on the web I was totally caught off guard.

I saw one guy come in my english class wearing a coldplay live top and xyloband with his mate. I shouted YOU LEGENDS at them. then i got told off by miss. i think they think im crazy :P

Oh well, at least you didn't start singing paradise in a shrill voice in front of them or something

Today I remembered that during another exam I was wearing my xyloband and a girl asked "Ohhhh did you go to Turin too?" "No, I went to Nice's gig, I couldn't find the tickets for Turin" "Oh so you are a real fan too :D" [Nice is very far away from here] and we chatted about the guys waiting for the exam :D

Engineers love Coldplay :laugh3:

Ofc you are right and Celine was just being sarcastic [i laughed 5 minutes on what she said:laugh3:] but really you never heard anyone in Italy say that Chris Martin is gay because he has this girlish feelings? :laugh3: It's something that a lot of people keep saying to me and I just answer "Oh I know, he is clearly in love with Jonny :D". :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: there are people that how you said are just too superficial.

Oh and actually one of my best friend is gay and he doesn't like them...he says they are so sweet he is afraid to contract the diabetes :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

You do know that she was being sarcastic, yes? :uhoh:

Of course  It was just an excuse to say some things... I have these moments when I can't help but give vent to what I think and I end up writing infinitely long poems :P

Strangely enough, no! Some just don't know much about them- that is, they have no idea who Jonny is and just know a pair of songs-, others don't care because they just don't like their music and that's all, and those who know something more don't seem to give their relationship all that importance :P Or anyway, they're mostly interested into their music and don't know much about Chris... I'm usually the one who brings up the subject in a jokingly way... Just not to shock my friends too much... At least not immediately

Met a girl who went to the 10th june like me, told her I was front row (she was seated), told her how much I loved Coldplay... Mentioned some b-sides and she had no idea

Another "fan" :(

everybody at my school hates coldplay im the only one that likes Coldplay :bigcry:

Last year my friends (the ones who do like Coldplay) and I were at a Starbucks (as usual :P ) and we were celebrating a birthday. The birthday girl opened her present ( a copy of "X&Y Latin American Tour Edition") and just when she was thanking us for it one of the girls who worked at Starbucks approached us and started "Um, excuse me girls" We thought she was going to politely ask us to leave cause the place was full and we had already finished our orders but she surprisingly asked "Is that a Coldplay CD?" she said she was a huge fan and couldn't help but noticing the CD and we started talking about Coldplay and their music, if we had seen them live and how we were all friends who liked them and she was really happy to have found people who loved Coldplay as well. She had to go back to work. Sadly, we couldn't find her when we left and we never saw her again, but it was quite a nice surprise.

So I haven't actually met this person but it was sort of meeting. I've got a Coldplay inspired tattoo (butterfly) on the backside of my neck. I was in the public transportation and my hair was up so anyone could see my tattoo. And a guy standing behind me turned and said: "oh coldplay butterfly. Nice! I'm a huge fan." And then he went out on the next stop. Sadly no name or anything. And I'm sure he was one of the rare Coldplay fans here. :(

  • 3 years later...

I've had friends tell me that they've met Coldplayers because they know I'm one and I'd be interested in knowing they met one, but I've never met other Coldplayers in real life

One of my classmates used to be a big fan of Coldplay, but I guess the depressing sad tone of Ghost Stories and the mainstream pop genre of A Head Full Of Dreams made him/her (not specifying gender) move on to other artists.

A good friend of mine loves to listen to the music of Coldplay. But he just likes their older songs and hates MX, GS and AHFOD... :/

But I don't know/ never met any other person who really likes Coldplay. :(

That is the thing that I will never understand. First of all why do they think about them as a gay band. I know...Buckin haha but 'normal' people, not fans doesn't know about those little shipping things that Coldplayers share. Another thing is that being gay shouldn't be an insult but still is treated like that by some stupid morons

Beats me why they do. But I dont think they mean it as an insult, more like in saying that the band has a lot of feminine qualities, which to some (insecure?) men still feel threatening so they try to disassociate themselves from them. I guess I can see where they are coming from. I never thought about it to be honest, who knows...maybe looking like the least feminine guy ever has made it easier for me to feel comfortable with any feminine qualities I have haha

I know many people who like Coldplay...nearly everyone I know knows of them and likes them, but I´ve never met a fan fan like "us here" you know :)

The only person I've met that is an actual Coldplayer/Goldplayer/Allplayer is my dad. He loves Coldplay. Yet, if I ask him how many Coldplay studio albums exist he wouldn't know the answer. Same goes with song titles (doesn't know most of them) :P
