2012 is nearly coming to it's end, it has gone so fast.

 

So what have been your highlights and lowlights of 2012? Which parts of 2012 will you remember come 2022?

Definitely the Coldplay concert I was lucky to attend. The GranFondo ride in September, and all the nice people I've met.

Highlights:

 

got a new phone

met some new people and made some new friends and got closer to other friends

returned to coldplaying

finally understood twitter

got to know some extended family members

started learning a new language

success at school

got to talk to some guy i liked and who's an old school friend of mine

got some things into perspective

 

Lows:

 

mostly personal and emotional i guess....but i'm rebounding :)

I've made a long tumblr post queued for the 31st

wow i feel organised

but there is literally so much stuff this year and its all topsy turvy but mostly good

And new year's resolutions perhaps? I know they're a bit stupid because they're essentially a excuse to procrastinate doing things until the 1st, but still a good thing to put up there

 

 

 

Highlights: Went to summer camp (:blush:) by far a highlight, being in school again where I belong, family's doing better financially

 

Lowlights: Lost all my friends, nearly got expelled from school, got a hell of a scare earlier this year due to the economy

 

Things I will remember in 2022: ^

 

Things I wanna work on for 2013: Learn how to ride a bike, find a good friend, practice soccer close to every day and basketball at least once or twice a week

EDIT: Oh yeah, I saw Coldplay live as well. Wouldn't consider that a highlight of my entire year but it was a good show.

Highlights of the year for me is that i managed to fix many problems and debts i had for a long time and that i actually got to help my family the way they deserve it.

 

The bad of the year for me was losing someone dear to me and got nostalgic and sad yesterday cos of that.

 

I hope things are better next year.

This was my fav year of my life and I think I posted it on the thanks thread but I´ll put what was most important.

 

Highlights:

It´s pretty dumb but I feel like I officialy got over coldplay and started to be a fan of more things and I got into a lot of music this year, mainly Juan Son, Bjork, Blur and Animal Collective so it was a nice change.

I lost weight.

Finished middle school with more closer friends.

I had a lot of fun times with my best friends like i actually have a social life?¿?

Started high school and made even more friends and I´m getting good grades.

Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas were p-cool, my family actually was together unlike last year with the economy, everybody had to work.

 

Lowlight:

okay here goes:

highlights:

* making friends with girls from work and actually going out and socializing with them, (this has been literally so huge for me and sometimes I cry because I know some of them are leaving next year :( )

* visiting Geneva and CERN which was super cool / science nerd

* visiting Edinburgh (that place is seriously beautiful :heart:)

* weird feelings which i cant explain ...

* listening to cute and cheesy love songs which are just the happiest ever

* the fact I've applied to uni which is kind of terrifying but i am actually getting pretty excited.

Lowlights:

* being ignored and bitched about behind my back by people I thought were my friends.

* failing all my january exams and crying my eyes out for a week then stressing out because i had to resit them all in summer.

* having to repeatedly tell someone i don't love them then have to get a new sim card for them to leave me alone

* being heartbroken </3

 

though overall I think the good outweighs the bad and I feel like I look at every single thing from a new perspective like I appreciate the small things so much more and it feels nice.

Highlights:

MY FIRST COLDPLAY CONCERT OMG :dazzled:

Going to London in April for a couple days with my family

Making new friends from all around the world

See my friends from high school more often, especially these last few months

Finally deciding once and for all to go abroad in 2013/2014. Fingers crossed I get the average required to go to Edinburgh :fingersx:

Going to Spain this summer with my parents and my sister. Great trip.

It's not one event, but through the year I've had the feeling that things are getting better for my family. Whether it's my brother, my sister or my parents, we've had some rough years and now it feels that everything is starting to fall into place and it makes me quite hopeful for them for the future :)

 

Lowlights:

My dog died

My first internship was...quite painful :sick:

I didn't get to see my siblings a lot this year, especially my brother

I think I lost a friend

Wars around the world. Seriously, this year I've realized how many awful stuff there is going on and it sometimes really bummed me. Ugh, I wish people would just get along or at least not be so violent when they don't.

Highlights.

-turning a year older

-finishing a year of school

-seeing Keane and Coldplay

-Meeting Anna

-learning Hindi finally

-becoming obsessed with other stuff I like (ie anime and Youtube)

-meeting new people

-Going to my first anime convention

Lowlights

-crying

Highlights:

Actually getting into all the honors classes

Buying/receiving/borrowing four Coldplay CDs in one year.

Applying to a new school for next year

Becoming a first stand (in orchestra), maintaining my seat in first violin.

Finally getting a new phone and Photoshop and a tablet that cooperates with it.

Actually feeling okay about myself...

Knocking some people over in gym class, which for a skinny girl like me is an accomplishment (and injuring some both in and outside of class... oops)

 

Lowlights:

Family troubles getting in the way of staying with relatives over the summer

Getting a B+ in math last school year and in English this year

Crying myself to sleep for the first time

Feeling that my friendships are falling apart

Feeling that I'm drifting away from Coldplay and Coldplayers and to Muse's music

Applying to a new school for next year (yes, that is good and bad. mostly bad.)

 

But I guess this year has been pretty good.

highlights:

*doing an internship in Germany for 2 months

*meeting people from all over the world during that internship

*starting to study with student exchange prgoramme in Germany for one year.

*being able to speak fluently in two languages: English and German ( even though i can't write grammatically correct :lol:)

oh man, my 2012 is full of Germany-based-stories.

HIGHLIGHTS

I went to see Coldplay in concert, it was the best day of my life.

i went to see kaiser chiefs and was in my first moshpit :dance:

I've had exams and mock exams in which I have done bad

I have to apply for college by the end of this month (Dec), dont have a clue what I'm doing or where I'm going or what I want to do

I HAVE BEEN ON TUMBLR FOR FIVE DAYS STRAIGHT

 

so actually tumblr is a definite low point

oh man oh man. 2012 was one bitching year.

 

My highlights include

• Going to gigs with Michael Kiwanuka, Dry the River, and The Staves.
  
• Going to a comedy festival and seeing two of my favourite Australian comedians
  
• Going to London on a family holiday and meeting people who used to be on here.
  
• Winning a trip to London to go to the Dark Knight Rises premiere and staying in a 5 star hotel on Trafalgar square
  
• Seeing Alabama Shakes, Ben Howard, Dry the River, Elbow, Grizzly Bear, Grimes, Kimbra, Lianne La Havas, The Cure, Sigur Ros, The Killers, The Maccabees, The Staves, The Vaccines and Villagers at Electric Picnic.
  
• Seeing Bon Iver (at possibly their last show) and The Staves.
  
• Going to Frankie Boyle's stand up show.
  

 

As well as making so many new great friends, going out as much as I could, getting a job, passing all my college exams, and finding a new place so I can move out.

And of course doing all with it my boyfriend or my best friends by my side :heart:

 

 

Lowlights would be just a few medical issues and stuff like that D; the first month of 2nd year was hard for me. But they're being sorted out now :nice:

Well... My year is mostly filled with low points.... Oh well.

 

Highlights:

- started a new job, which I still have.

- went to a Kaiser Chiefs, Transfer and Walk The Moon concert.

- fell in love (low one as well.)

- ended an awful relationship without feeling entirely broken hearted because he was a jackass.

- got A's and B's again.

- got enough courage to ask the guy I liked out, and he said yes, and we have been going out since.

- rescued a homeless puppy.

- I got all the support I need from family to stay in the States and try to find a job there.

- I will have another niece soon.

 

Low points

- got cheated on, several times...

- had to fight depression and anemia throughout the entire year, where I was left with even less friends.

- my 12 year old dog died.

- my grandfather died the day before my birthday.

- I might have just lost one of my closest friends because of her immaturity.

 

Overall, it was not that fun of a year... But at least I got to become more active here, and talked to a lot of people that are amazing, and being able to come here and say stuff helped a lot.

It is better than 2011 though...

• During my spring break, I win an autographed Twisted Metal Sweet Tooth action figure from the developers at Eat Sleep Play, the crew that developed the game.

• I announced that I have retired from playing the game Mario Kart Wii.
  

 

May

• Digital Rez Productions and Digital Rez Recordings have been founded by me.
  

 

June

• My then-senior friends have graduated.
  
• My summer break starts.

• My short-lived Gettin' Real with Rez series has begun.

• My senior year has begun!
  

 

September

• I FINALLY managed to tell a girl that I truly had feelings for her.

• After four years of being active, I have finally closed my first YouTube channel.
  

 

October

• The character, Rezzy Leon has been created, along with his debut in the story, The Halloween Tale of Rezzy Leon.
  

 

November

• A Very Rezzy Thanksgiving was planned to be the full second story in the Rezzy Leon series, but wasn't completed and wasn't counted to be a story.
  

 

December

• I see Rush for my third time! :dance:
  
• By the time the TRUE second story, Christmas Time with Rezzy, had been published, the stories of Rezzy Leon has already been heard of within my mobile home community, friends at school, and even my mom... :|
