iamsue
I see that my clues have multiple interpretations, and very good ones. To clarify, here's Clue #3: In baseball, if you throw one of these, it could unexpectedly lead to an in-season hit!

Nie
Hmm not sure, I thought all clues have to relate to the same line I will need the exact line in the song related to the two clues to win! I interpreted this as ... the song is related to the 2 --> 3 clues and you have to give the exact line for "spontaneous"? Good luck; I'm going to sleep. :)
iamsue
And when You ran away to New York, you curved away...but it wasn't (as the song says), "a perfect day!! Go Google!!! Your turn.

I ran away
Here's the new riddle: We are searching for a song that features vocals by Chris Martin (not Coldplay) and that has almost the exact same last line that a Coldplay song has (different only in one added word). iamsue
Oh cool ! I didn't think this was gonna be right. My baseball knowledge is very limited :D You were right! The other "hidden" part of the baseball clue was about "in season", as strawberries are at the same time as baseball. Also, a "hit", as this song was and to get a hit, you have to SWING. Nie, you are right that the line related to all of the clues. Spontaneous just described the behavior in the line I was after. The extra obscure clues above were meant to get you to the song. Consider this puzzle to have been my tribute to spring!

I ran away
No. He wrote it. Are you sure ? I never heard of this before. Where did you read that ? Regardless, the song we're looking for has Chris's vocals in it. Just think about the riddle now and then, it's closer to (your) home than you might think. ;)

guy42
Kanye West - Homecoming "Maybe we can start again" "Fun" ends with the line "Maybe we could again" Edit: I just realized alisbe posted this answer.
flockofbirds222
Sadly I don't know many songs that feature chris vocals. Maybe i can at least get to know a few this way.
I ran away
Are you talking about Homecoming and Fun? Yes ! @alisbe and @guy42 got it right ! I actually thought the line was "Maybe we could start again", if it is can then actually teo words differ between the lines, sorry ! As for some other clues I had hidden there, I told @iamsue to think about it now and then (one of the lines Chris repeats is Do you think about me now and then ?) and also said it's closer to (your) home than you might think - the song is about coming home to Chicago and I believe @iamsue lives in that region :) I don't like rap and I don't like Kanye, but I actually like this song. Maybe my favorite rap song :D Your turn, alisbe !
