I see that my clues have multiple interpretations, and very good ones. To clarify, here's Clue #3: In baseball, if you throw one of these, it could unexpectedly lead to an in-season hit!

Yes ! @alisbe and @guy42 got it right ! I actually thought the line was "Maybe we could start again", if it is can then actually teo words differ between the lines, sorry !

 

As for some other clues I had hidden there, I told @iamsue to think about it now and then (one of the lines Chris repeats is Do you think about me now and then ?) and also said it's closer to (your) home than you might think - the song is about coming home to Chicago and I believe @iamsue lives in that region :)

I don't like rap and I don't like Kanye, but I actually like this song. Maybe my favorite rap song :D
