Did I ever tell you about the time I went to Chris Martin's house?

Featured Replies

I guess we're all forgetting that people went to his house in London and he literally went out to meet them. He was nice to them. Ha. Ha. Ha.

Even if that's true, I still think you shouldn't go to their houses.

It's not like I was there the whole day, waiting outside. It was a spur of the moment thing. The people there were really nice, and they didn't really seem to care. Besides, if a person is going to be famous, they basically expect this sort of thing. There are crazy fans that would go to a house like that. But I was respectful. If they asked me to leave, I would've left. It was fine. Everyone is making way to big of a deal out of this.

You rang?

One of the things that I don't understand is why this Toby guy said his name, and especially why he volunteered to check where Chris was. If security was freaking out about it, one would think this Toby guy would know better.

Exactly.

Another thing that was weird was how they came running out of the house when they could've easily told me through the intercom that Chris wasn't there and I should leave.

One person met Chris and Gwyneth when she was walking down the street and they started talking to her, not the other way around. She didn't even went to his house. Everyone else you're talking about crossed the line.

It doesn't matter how long you were there, the point is that you went there. Just because a person is famous doesn't give you the right to bother them. And they did ask you to leave:

"No but I have to ask you to leave"

That's cool I guess, and fairly impressive (I have no idea how you got his home address for one)

But it's really not applaudable to come to someone's house and disturb their peace. It's one thing for them to come after a show or go to the Bakery or something, but none of us have the right of coming to where he lives and demanding requests of him.

I didn't demand a request. Where the hell did you get that from? I asked him. I wrote a letter explaining to him how Coldplay is my biggest inspiration. People have done it before. I'm not the only one.

And the address is on google.

It's out there.

It's actually not that hard to find a fair amount of celebrity addresses. I'm not exactly sure why, but it is.

Well, I was there. Not you. So, it's not even your problem. And I did leave. I just gave the people my letter before leaving. What's the big deal about giving his bodyguard a letter?

Maybe so, but it was a full grown adult (a/k/a her dad) that actually pushed the intercom button and asked if Chris was there. He's not a 16 year old girl so he shouldn't get any slack, imho.

edit: ^ lol same response at the same time

True. Yet notice how I was arguing for the young girl and not the father.

What Balls said

^ like when you're taking a shower

It doesn't say: go to one of the band member's houses to give them a letter.

I'm really fond of bashing people but I think she got our message now :wacky:

I'm not bashing anyone, just wanted to let people know there are other ways to get in touch.

That's why I said I am. And I believe the people that have some respect already know what you just posted :)

I just have a mental image of you doing this in front of the bodyguard in order to try and impress him into getting Chris to come see how much you love him.

Ok now you ruined my mental image of what she did to impress the bodyguard. All I can see now is that little kid :(

What the hell were you imagining a 16 year old doing?
