The remaining acts will be announced as the week progresses. Though, with the iHeart Radio Festival and Global Citizen Festival right smack between these ten days, will Coldplay still be free to play a gig here? Brook
I think it's even more unlikely Coldplay will play at this festival considering that Apple Music is direct contenders to Tidal. And also, like you said, the iHeart Radio Festival and Global Citizen Festival is also close by. I'm hoping they do though! :)
atlas2000
I think they will, the band have already had a good relationship with Apple plus they have a relationship with one of the main hosts Zane Lowe, I have a feeling they could be playing at this because it is basically the iTunes Music Festival with the same name!! Well the iHeart Radio fest. is on the 17-18 Coldplay are on the 18th, Global Citizen event is on the 26th so that leaves the 19th-28th bar the 26th
a2iel
Fingers crossed.. But this would be the longest set they'd play around these dates if they do.. Both iHeart and Global fest sets sound like they'll be tiny sets, no idea why they're doing it this way, they are due a full on return..
thefox
Well, they do have a great relationship with Apple.. But they're also very much like Apple. If they (or something relevant to it's production) aren't ready yet, they won't do anything until it's the proper time.
jc90
Since the multi quote is broken, i'll respond to all the above replies at once. I wouldn't count Coldplay out quite yet given their relationship with Apple as pointed out already. The only thing is if there's a scheduling conflict. iHeart is actually 18+19 not 17+18, but yes, coldplay are due for the 18th (just a technical thing I wanted to clear up, atlas2000), and Global Citizen is 26th. So, theres a window in between unless another act already nabbed it. Also, it appears iHeartRadio will be a mini set, but as far as I can see, Global Citizen has 4 acts in 7 hours, unless I can't see that they have an opener or something. Chris did say on twitter, they are playing a short set and the other 3 acts are the headliners.. My best guess is they'll play the same short set at both citizen and iHeart fest.. That's right! Apple used Viva La Vida back in 2008 and the band played at the Steve Jobs memorial service. If they aren't sure whether they should join, Zane Lowe could probably convince them to play!

BiggerStronger
The Weeknd, Chemical Brothers and Take That were just announced as headliners. So this leaves 3 more nights for Coldplay...
