Christo670
Coldplay are almost done with the South American leg of the A Head Full Of Dreams Tour, and since it's the first time in a long time that they keep changing the setlist every night, I figured it would be a good idea to create a statistic and summary of the band's setlist during this tour. If you guys like what i've done so far , I shall eventually keep doing this for the rest of the tour. PS : if there are people who were at a show ; and spotted mistakes or little facts missing (can go from Johnny falling on stage to Chris stopping a song for some reasons or anything really) just send me a message or post a message on the thread and i'll edit it ! (with credit of course) SOUTH AMERICA TOUR SOUTH AMERICA TOUR 2016 March 31st 2016 Estadio Ciudad de la Plata , Argentina A Head Full Of Dreams *charlie chaplin speech on intro Yellow Every Teardrop is A Waterfall Birds Paradise (Remix outro) ----B Stage--- Everglow Magic ----A Stage---- Politik Clocks Midnight Charlie Brown Hymn For The Week End Fix You Heroes (David Bowie Cover) Viva La Vida Adventure Of A Lifetime ----C stage---- Kaleidoscope/Army Of One Us Against The World Green Eyes ---A Stage--- Amazing Day A Sky Full of Stars Up&Up notes : opening show of the tour. we can notice a lot of change into the setlists : live debut of Birds, Army of One and Chris playing the guitar on ETIAW. - the band debuted a cover of Heroes as a tribute of David Bowie. we're unsure yet if this will be on the set for the entire tour - the acclaimed return by the fans of Politik -interesting fact about Fix You on this tour : the organs were removed during the verse, instead we can hear the intro to Midnight playing over the synth and bass (who starts playing after the second half of the first verse) and Chris isn't playing the piano but instead sits down somewhere on the catwalk until the end of 2nd chorus. - The Scientist has been removed , which is an odd move from the band as this song has been played at every single shows since the release of A Rush Of Blood To The Head - Green Eyes played as fan request -for the first time of their career, the band left a blank space on their setlist for fans request. which could lead to interesting things. does it mean we could finally hear songs like Poppyfields, A Message, Spies, or other rare songs that haven't been played in a long time or even ever ? - XYLOBAND returns : the return of the Xylobands on this tour is something that the fans have been hoping for! 1st April 2016 Estadio Ciudad de La Plata, Argentina - A Head Full Of Dreams *charlie chaplin speech on intro - Yellow -Every Teardrop is A Waterfall -Birds - The Scientist -Paradise (Remix outro) ----B Stage---- Everglow Magic ----A Stage---- Politik Clocks Midnight Charlie Brown Hymn For The Week End Fix You Heroes (David Bowie Cover) Viva La Vida Adventure Of A Lifetime ----C stage---- Kaleidoscope Us Against The World Shiver ---A Stage--- Amazing Day A Sky Full of Stars Up&Up notes : tour debut of The Scientist Shiver has been played as fan request April 3rd 2016, Estadio National, Santiago Chile - A Head Full Of Dreams *charlie chaplin speech on intro - Yellow -Every Teardrop is A Waterfall -Birds - The Scientist -Paradise (Remix outro) ----B Stage---- Everglow Magic Army Of One ----A Stage---- Clocks Midnight Charlie Brown Hymn For The Week End Fix You Heroes (David Bowie Cover) Viva La Vida Adventure Of A Lifetime ----C stage---- Kaleidoscope 'Til Kingdom Come Ring Of Fire Don't Panic ---A Stage--- Amazing Day A Sky Full of Stars Up&Up notes : a few interesting things happened : live return of Army Of One, this time on the B stage. It was Chris's son Moses's birthday, so he played Johnny B Good for him, and invited him to go on stage so the crowd could sing him Happy Birthday in the middle of Sky Full Of Stars ! Arantza
Cool thread! It's an easy way to see the changes from night to night :D As some people have already said I hope they keep up switching the setlist a bit. It's fun because you don't really know what to expect and for me it makes each show a bit more special.

brobbins
I haven't watched any of the tour videos yet so I can be surprised by the effects when I see them in July, but I'm keeping up with the setlists. Can you please tell me which of the B and C stages are on the right or left as you look at the stage? (I know A is the main stage.) I've got floor seats on the right and wonder which I'll be closer to. Thanks! Love this thread.

craigrd33
Hi everyone, first post on the forum! Does anyone think it is a bit strange (borderline criminal) at the neglect being shown towards VLVODAAHF on this tour. I mean it is widely regarded to be their 2nd best album (after AROBTTH), yet it significantly under represented compared to other albums. I was at Hampden - easily the 2nd best show for me (Crystal Palace '05 still my favourite, they were electric that night and I was close to the stage) - and the distribution was AHFOD - 7 (9 if including Kaleidoscope and Colour Spectrum) GS - 3 (Magic, Ink, A Sky Full Of Stars - can't really count 30 seconds of Midnight) MX - 3 (Paradise, Charlie Brown, Every Teardrop Is A Warterfall) VLVODAHHF - 1 (Viva La Vida) X&Y - 2 (Fix You, The Hardest Part) AROBTTH - 3 (In My Place, The Scientist, Clocks) P - 1 (Yellow) So it would be fascinating to know why the band hate this era so much. I so would have loved to hear Lovers In Japan (the arrangement at the Etihad - thanks YouTube! - was tremendous) or Strawberry Swing or my joint-favourite-with-Amsterdam, Death And All His Friends... Thoughts, anyone?
anthamic
Thoughts, anyone? Hey, welcome to the forum! I do agree that the band have been neglecting VLV a bit in the set- it's probably not that they're tired of the songs since they've been playing Clocks, Yellow and Fix You for every show, maybe they can't find a spot for another VLV song in the setlist/can't fit it in with the rest of the songs. I do agree that the band have been neglecting VLV a bit in the set- it's probably not that they're tired of the songs since they've been playing Clocks, Yellow and Fix You for every show, maybe they can't find a spot for another VLV song in the setlist/can't fit it in with the rest of the songs. well now they played Lovers In Japan and Strawberry Swing .... quite nice additions ! Guest diogo_sg
Hi! Welcome to Coldplaying [emoji6] I would also love if they played some more Viva songs, but I won't complain about that as the setlist is good imo.
