What shocks me is not the difference in the voice, but in emotion and honesty. I mean, this Kye's voice is meh, classic realty tv contestant, to me. I wouldn't say he lacks of talent (I don't think I can "judge" that), I don't like it very much but I don't think it's THAT awful either.

He could have been "like" Chris (although that was very unlikely already) if he had managed to share true, honest emotion through the song. I really disagree with the judges when they say that it happened there (and that's what they meant when they said he sounded like Chris, I believe). He had that opportunity, but he ruined it at the very first seconds when he tried to eyesex the camera and make gurls & women at home dazzle, instead of focusing on the song. From that point, his voice and even all the little things he did with his face to show how much he "felt" the song didn't work for me.
