The Followill brothers said that the plan was to record the follow-up to 'Only By The Night' after 2009 touring duties were over - and release it in the latter half of 2010. "We're touring until the end of this year so we can't start until 2010 but it'll come out probably fall of 2010," guitarist Matthew Followill told BBC 6 Music. He added that the album may be "a little grungier" than previous efforts. Bassist Jared Followill said that the band had already started work on writing for the album. "The next album that we make, that we're already working on, I can assure you, is one that I'm the most excited about," he said.
