That’s a pretty strong statement considering Coloratura happened since Arabesque. Do you like the Chris vocals or the “alien” ones? (Though the Chris one that was just uploaded sounds like AI, there was another uploaded a bit ago that sounds better)

No disrespect to Jin, but he made it sound like a big pop song which, yeah, makes sense. But the Coldplay version has this raw, intimate feeling and is probably the most sweet and romantic I've heard Chris since probably Strawberry Swing. I'm sure Max Martin would've knocked all the emotion out of it had they decided to use it on MOTS, but this demo is really nice to have.

I have to say regarding the last set of leaks, that I was very happy to see snippets of a new version of Idiot. It was a complete surprise that they've been working on new versions of Rush of Blood. Maybe they couldn't carry out their plans for the 20th anniversary, but who knows if they might pick them up for the 25th. Let's hope so!

I reckon they'll release a B-side/unreleased compilation alongside their "final" album. I remember Chris mentioned they'll do this eventually. 

Okay throwing my hat in here.... I think Earthling has Coldplay's best lyrics SINCE Arabesque. Don't get me wrong I love Coloratura's lyrics and some other random parts on MOTS but the lyrics are honestly gorgeous. It sounds like a lullaby or even a children's book but in a more serious and beautiful way. The "does it ever get easy? Do you die?" is so damn relatable. 

I was wondering if Earthling got reworked into Angel Song... could anyone from the Seattle meet up confirm or deny?

If that's true it's a pity, it's a really lovely song.

This is pure speculation on my part, but it feels like it could be a good musical song to me. I can see the lyrics being part of a storyline, and the final volume is called "Home" which ties in with the lyrics as well. 

The downside is that it would get released as part of a movie where we watch the Angel Moon puppet singing this song but you know, I'll take it. 

Just wanted to say that I've made a new thread for general discussion about the leaks, as this thread has got quite off topic and has drifted away from being a place for all of the lyrics to be kept.

This is around the 3:40 mark, it then goes on to "this heart is a volcano, in spurts of colour, I'm on fire..." (those last lyrics may be misheard but that's what it sounds like to me)

I feel like I very much know which version you mean. I cannot for the life of me find it though. I was quite convinced the volcano part was from kaliedoscope. The only other one that I found is noted with 2022 mix, and weirdly morphs from whatever it takes to another. It feels kinda fake, but it's at the exact timestamp mentioned.

The one I found is about 5 mins long, and after it does the volcano bit and drinking every drop it goes back into similar lyrics from before, it doesn't go into "Whatever it takes."

I've got it listed under Kaleidoscope / from Ghost Stories but I can't remember if I labelled it that or I found it like that
