SInce the song just released I felt it was time to make a topic about it.

Despite me not liking rap I actually enjoyed this song! I like to see Coldplay experimenting with other genres more instead of sticking to their pop formula for their singles. I thought every part of the song was surprisingly solid (even little simz part which I didn't like in the glatsonbury version). Overall this is at least a 9.25/10 for me, now lets just pray that the rest of the album is at least this good. (bit scared about jupiter and good feelings tbh)

One of the most incredible song I've recently heard. When I heard it for the first time during the Glastonbury broadcast I got that impression that I've known that song for ages. You may say that it's because it is a catchy song but I had never had experienced anything like that with any other song!

Feels like this song is the new A Sky Full of Stars as lots of people are getting angry / worried with the direction the band is taking.

Not a bad thing as ASFOS turned to be a Coldplay classic (whatever we think about that song) and one of their best live songs.

I don’t think We Pray will reach that point but it’s a more than decent catchy tune with modern influences that would not have been out of place on Viva and EL with better production and lyrics.

Could have done without Burna Boy and the song would have benefited from more Simz. She never fails.

I’ll take that over something as bland and uninteresting as FLIFIL any day of the week.

It's a great song and while I understand everyone has different tastes I don't quite understand some of the criticism. Some of my favourite groups are Keane and Radiohead and yet you can honestly say that the music they produce could be on the first or last album due to how similar much of their sounds are. You can't say that about Coldplay. They are always trying something new and original, pushing the boundaries and I for one am glad of it!

Well, maybe you can say that about Keane, but not at all about Radiohead, Pablo Honey is overwhelmingly different from Ok Computer, In Rainbows and A Heart shaped pool, and all of them between each other. You´ve chosen a really bad example.

Good to see people like it. Personally I don't. Another attempt to pander to the musical taste of the masses. Sad, when you consider what they are capable of (Tomorrow, UFO II etc.).

Just wanted to say that I really like it! As with each record, bringing fresh sounds - no two Coldplay albums are the same!
I love Simz's contribution to the track, especially the beginning of her rap verse, and Burna Boy sounds good too.
Now I look forward to listening to Elyanna's version, which for me was the highlight of the song at Glastonbury.

i don't like the burna boy autotune and he looks not interested in the song

The part of Elyanna in the Glastonbury is so beautiful but in the song this part is not presents.

BUT The violin the Drum and bass It's all so beautiful and the iconic piano outro of coldplay.

I know everybody doesn't like the lalalalala but to me is one of the best part in the song

and the verse of little simz is so different to the glaston version.

According to one of my friends who received the CD already, the version of WE PRAY that released is a single version, and the final version has more Elyanna. Source: the CD has an "Album Version" of the song.

I don't like rap and I don't like rap with Coldplay but really like this song. The two singles released so far is waayyy better than the ones for MOTS.

It's one of those songs that just take you on a journey. Normally I'm not a big fan of this kind of songs (in particular rap stuff) but, of this one I am. Also Davide Rossi's work on this track is brilliant. And Jonny's riffs in the background, so great...... Aaaaah....! Really wish his guitar was louder in the mix. I mean, who doesn't.
