There is a particular reason why you want to learn Italian language??

I mean are you attending Italian classes, or is just for fun...because you like it??? :P

Anyway.....

Ciao mi chiamo Laura, sono di Napoli, ero una studentessa, nel senso che ho finito l'università l'anno scorso. Tu invece cosa studi?

Oltre i libri di grammatica che hai, se vuoi chiedere qualcosa sui verbi, articoli, ecc. spara pure :D

i've studied Tourism, Italian was not able, just on extra lab classes but was not compulsory, i already know french, portuguese and obviously english, so know more languages is not bad, plus i wanted to learn italian and german properly since long long ago. :)

piacere Laura.

scorso means? :embarassed:

yep i'm interested in knowing about verbs and grammar part, i've been told that italian verbs are hard to learn :uhoh:

so does nouns have genre and number in italian?

scorso= last;)

and yes they have!

Scorso means Last/past....meaning L'anno scorso = Last year / El año pasado

Italian verbs are not so hard to learn considering you're spanish, and that you're used to conjugate verbs....

And yes nouns have genre and number, there are....like spanish... "masculine and feminine", "singolar and plural"

For nouns...the vowel A is usually used to make feminine, O is used to make masculine

Vowels E / I are used to make plural where E is feminine I is masculine

so ex:

Bella (plural Belle)

Bello (plural Belli)

Vowel U.... is gay :laugh3::laugh3: :laugh3:

thanks a lot Laura :D

so then nouns are really similar than in spanish :D

hehe vowel U is gay

one more about the verbs, do you have regular / irregular / reflexive verbs too?

and have group verbs?**

**i mean in spanish we have regular / irregular verbs and reflexive (those who use the pronoun on it as refers to a person self).

and we have 3 types of verbs:

those who end in -ar , -er, -ir, so -ar has it's endings, -er has it's endings, and -ir has it's endings.

is the same in italian?

thanks a lot Laura :D

Yes we have regular / irregular verbs

Irregular are "Tenere, Venire, Andare, Dare, Stare, Dire, Fare, Dovere, Potere, Volere", maybe I forget someone I don't know exactely.

And yes we have reflexive verbs too....to make them you have to add:

Mi (io MI + verb) (yo me )

Ti (tu Ti + verb) (tu te)

Si (Egli Si + verb) (el /ella se)

Ci (noi Ci + verb ) (nosotros nos)

Vi (voi Vi + verb) (vosotros os)

Si (essi Si + verb) (ellos/ellas se)

We also have verbs with 3 different endings

Are / Ere / Ire

Andare (andar), Bere (beber), Dormire (Dormir)

Wow, having Italian lessons!:scholar:

I can also help you, if you want, ariadnasquire!

It's a great thing that you want to learn italian: I'm attending an American university in Rome, so I know many english speakers who are studying it, and they are all enjoying!Hope you'll do the same! :D

ah so i guess if verbs are that similar in "structure" it won't be that difficult to learn then, is just a matter of practice to improve. :)

grazie again Laura.

thanks a lot Prospektress.

como ti chiami?

I'm attending an American university in Rome

loro servoro

Ok wait....

"lui" is for Male (El)

"lei" is for female (ella)

Formal way..... "Lei" (for both male and female)

When you conjugate a verb it's better using "Essi" and not "Loro"

Any question Pm me, no problem ;)
