Awww, I'm sorry. :( It'll be OK.

:bigcry::bigcry::hug: Thank you , it's just that I really wanted to win , I never win anything , I have bad luck ,always,

Yeah I find Looking Back very catchy.

Do you hate or do you have Keane songs that you don't like?

Well I don't really like Looking Back that much.. I used to not like Sunshine and Untitled 01 but now I find them very soothing.

"Untitled 2" > "Untitled 1"

Anyway, even now, I'm not a huge fan of a lot of their stuff post-UTIS. I'd have to listen to it all again to tell you if there are specific songs that I really just don't like.

Me neither, but I think Perfect Symmetry is still passable. Night Train, on the other hand, is putrid. Its best song - "My Shadow" - is a Perfect Symmetry B-side, for crying out loud. I think Tim recently said that LP4 will sound more similar to UTIS, but we'll see if that actually rings true.

It's odd how I've never, ever caught Keane live. They were here just last year and the year before at pretty small venues for a non-terrible price, yet I passed on them. They aren't in my list of favorite bands, but I'd still willingly see them.

It took me forever for me to even get used to "Perfect Symmetry" and stop dismissing it as utter trash. I will agree with you, though, on "Night Train." Now that I think about it, stuff like "Your Love" makes me think "...Why? D:"

As I said, I loved "Your Love", and told Tim so when I met him!:D

Keane are absolutely amazing!

Perfection

I also think that 'Hopes and Fears' and 'Under the iron sea' are their best works. My favorite album is UTIS, I think that it works more as a whole than Hopes and Fears. I mean, Hopes and Fears has great songs such as "Somewhere only we know", "Everybody's changing", "This is the last time", "Bedshaped"... and so on. But I think the darkness and deepness on UTIS sea is what makes it a masterpiece. Although it needs to grow on you with a few listens, while H&F is more like and "immediate" album.

Listening to Perfect Symmetry was hard for me at first. I felt like Keane had gone sh*t. But then you listen to 'The lovers are losing', 'Perfect Symmetry', 'Again and again' or 'You don't see me' and you realize Keane's essence is still there, under all those effects. I think their best lyrics are on PS, without a doubt (credits to Tim Rice-Oxley, and Tom Chaplin who proved he's an excellent songwriter on 'Playing along').

And I don't think you can take Night Train very seriously... actually, that's what they said. It wasn't an album, it was "a bunch of experimental songs and why nots". Just random songs they wrote while they were on tour.

I'm happy to hear that their new album will be like Under the iron sea, because as I said it's my favorite album. I also think that it's great that they're taking a break and working without any pressure, that's how Hopes and Fears was created. And I'm also sure that the addition of Jesse Quin (who's an excellent musician and songrwiter) will be something very important on Keane's carreer.

and what did Tim said????

and well I feel the same way as you Uve23 , but I actually liked PS when I first listened to it and now I just don't like it that much, but I quite enjoyed NT except for Stop For A Minute I almost hate that song, and yeah I am super excited too for the new album I belive it's going to be awesome because it's going to have the UTIS feeling and all the things they learned from their last work

Tom in the studio.

Um. Hi. :p I'm gonna resurrect this thread.

Did I ever mention how much I love Keane? :wacky:

You've mentioned it to me.

Anyways so in the world of Keane, according to Jesse's and Richard's blogs things are going along really well! I'm pretty excited about this album! :D

Do want Sovereign Light Cafe. :wacky:

Someone else besides myself and Taameen needs to post here.

It's getting a little weird...:uhoh:

Something in me was dying

My heart was heavy as stone

When is their new album coming out? I don't particularly like them, but there are some songs I can stand so...
