May 15, 200917 yr Where's the best place to start with this band? I downloaded OK Calculator, it was...interesting...to say the least. :shocked2:
May 15, 200917 yr Hm... OK Calculator is really only for those who really love TVOTR or are taking dangerous amounts of illicit substances. Start with Dear Science, it's their latest record, most popular record and most commercially accessible in my opinion.
May 16, 200917 yr Hmm, Cookie Mountain is an absolutely phenomenal album but I'm not sure you should tackle that first. Depends what you're into I guess.
May 18, 200917 yr i have some good news and some bad news first the good news, i did record the live show which was broadcast on the radio last weekend. and it was a brilliant performance. the band describes it as one of their best ever performances now the bad news. the first 20mins turned out terrible. i accidently had one of the controls up too high so its very distorted. but u can still make out the song and im sure some technical expert could fix it. more good news. the remaining 40mins sounds almost perfect and very very clear. i'm glad it was a full one hour broadcast. some more bad news. the line cut out a few times so theres little bits and pieces missing here and there but its only very minor. finally good news. i should have it uploaded by wednesday night. and im pretty sure this is the only recording available.
June 1, 200917 yr apologies for the massive arse delay. here is the Triple J recording of TV on the Radio in Sydney in late January 2009. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8LA01CYA i should warn everyone that the first 20mins is terrible quality but the remaining 40 is near perfect. the recording starts after about 5mins. i'm not too familiar with the band so i dont know what the setlist is. part of the reason i waited a little to upload the concert is because i was waiting for triple j to broadcast part of the concert on tv. it finally happened so here is a youtube clip of Dancing Choose. March 31, 201115 yr I really like it so far. Will give it many more listens. With Return To Cookie Mountain there is a part in the middle I don't care for. I preferred Dear Science.
