I'm so excited! Actually it's not named after it, the town is called Vopnafjörður. The story the lyrics provide is supposed to happen there. And yes I would recommend a trip to Iceland. But come in the summer. Then we have a 24hour daylight and the weather is great most of the time.
April 21, 200620 yr bump :bomb: sigur rós will perform three songs live on bbc radio one’s zane lowe show on wednesday 26th april. the show airs between 7pm and 9pm. uk listeners can tune in as normal while those abroad will be able to listen to the broadcast online through the radio one website. :happy: sigur-ros.co.uk
