Agree on the falsetto. If you compare Fix you with True Love...I know a lot of people love Chris going for a lower register, I prefer his higher register so it's been sad to see this "decline", if I may call it like that. Do you people know Lhuna ? It's also a song where Chris sings in very low register. I'd guess you'd like it !

I only listened to his first solo album,The Madcap Laughs. I'd say it's an acquired taste, but very good for just relaxing to it and closing your eyes and think you're in the seventies. :)

the second thing is, I also believe acoutic songs must have a really good melody to carry the song, because there is so little else in it. This is why some of the older acoustic songs like Til Kingdom Come or Now my feet won't touch the ground are not among my favorites either.

Yeah, I'll check them out ! Which songs would you recommend for these bands for the start that are kind of iconic ? Tbh, I don't like The Wall too much... From the early Syd-phase, Jugband Blues is also great. And after The Wall I think they went into a decline but still some nice songs in-between like High Hopes or Learning To Fly.

Whoa, cool down @howyousawtheworld. I love vintage Coldplay too, and in a way that I do consider every album after X&Y a decline in quality. And I disagree with the people who listed A Message, Spies and many other songs. However, Amsterdam is also among my lesser liked Coldplay songs, because despite the good lyrics, the first half of the song is melody-wise imho somewhat too slow and uninspired. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, and just because I stated I don't like Amsterdam I don't need you to get an insulting tone, use the f-word and tell people to clean their ears.

Spiderman, I just listened to some of your music - it's a great start, keep it up !! I liked Burning Daylight the most. For your song recording, you should maybe separate the singing from the guitar playing though, record them separately and layer them for a better sound quality. And by the way, this song where it says it is a darker verion of Green Eyes - it didn't remind me of Green Eyes but rather of Easy to Please, to which it is somewhat similar. Maybe you meant that song ?
