Cool. I once saw X&Y here for 5 euros. It almost strikes me how barely legible the title on the side of the CD case is. When you search for X&Y in a shelf full of unsorted CDs, you have to watch out for CD cases that seem to have no title on the side.

As for Midnight, I think it's not a good song by Coldplay's standards, but still a very good electronic song (not my genre at all, but I really sometimes do listen to Midnight)

I heard it two or three times on the radio, at a time at which I didn't even know what Coldplay was (and I technically knew Rihanna, but didn't recognize her or something). So I was completely unbiased at the time, and I have to say I liked it !

I also love them both, but of the two I prefer For You. The lines especially stuck in my head are "your self-esteem is low" and "if you're lost and feel alone, circumnavigate the globe". Let's face it, Chris Martin's insecurity yields the best songs ;) I sincerely hope insecurity will be a theme of AHFOD too and that AHFOD will not all be idle sunshine.

Yeah, Careful where you stand is great too. The Parachutes Era yielded many great acoustic songs, really ! Plus they had the very young Chris's voice. It's magic. Just think of the beginning of the Safety EP, when after these 4 chords his voice comes on.... :parachutes: "I wanna be bigger, stronger, drive a faster car.."

I have to admit I'd vote for David Gilmour over Jonny Buckland too, but this might be kind of unfair because evidently Gilmour gets more opportunities to showcase his art in Pink Floyd's long prog rock pieces than Jonny in considerably shorter Coldplay songs. Thanks mayrn for posting the songs, I will listen to them and report back !! By the way, does anyone know good Pink Floyd B-sides/unreleased/lesser known songs that can be recommended ? Because I really only know their standard discography (knowing almost everything is limited to Coldplay for me :P)
