About "A View from the Top": It is from the Baltimore soundcheck on the 16th of September 2002, to be accurate :) So yeah, this is the AROBTTH Era. In fact, the complete (low quality) video of the Baltimore soundcheck is in available in the forum's multimedia section. As for the title, be aware that this is not an official song title but it was dubbed as such by a fan based on the line you can hear in the chorus, so it need not to have anything to do with the movie... And kudos to anyone who loves I Ran Away too :thumbsup:

Do you know A View From The Top, then ? If not, you really have to listen to it ! It's no B-side, just a low-quality soundcheck recording but it is all the same an amzing song (and only the guys themselves have to know why it never got properly recorded published)

I can't understand either why Coldplay have such a negative view of X&Y. It may have something to do with the outside pressure that was put on them during recording rather than the songs themselves. Remember EMI was not doing well and their only big hope was Coldplay's third studio album, and hw EMI stocks dropped when Coldplay announced a delay ? And by the way, who knows, maybe there is another "The Fir Trees" (or whatever they be called) album circulating right now and we just don't know it :D Or nothing is out yet and it's ONLY SUPERSTITION ;)

I still pine for a August 17 release of the first single. Before someone misunderstands, this is just pure speculation on my part, but it would be really cool.

And even thoguh this is not at all my genre, I can't help liking it. and i believe people are being too hard on Princess of China. I don't like Rihanna, but just because she is in it doesn't make it a bad song. Again, this is not a great song by Coldplay's standards but this synth melody at the beginning and throughout as well as the drum beat make it a good pop song imho !
