I think the album cover is pretty kitschy...also, it is nice to hear those leftovers of earlier sessions, but one could certainly debate whether this necessitated the release of a physical album. I sometimes get the feeling that it is the record companies that try to push these things because it is an easy way for them to generate a huge revenue, rather than the musicians themselves. To me it just doesn't feel like a real Pink Floyd album, if you know what I mean.

I fear it will, in sound, resemble to Miracles and also Gone but not F. Cotton.

What we could hope for one day, though, (I'd say in the farther future, such as for example in twenty or thirty years) would be hearing unreleased recordings. I believe this has happened for some older bands from decades ago. I know the guys don't like revisiting old stuff, but I think there is a whole treasure of songs which were at least halfway recorded (or entirely recorded - they scrapped nearly all songs of the first version of X&Y, but these files must exist somewhere) and which will either officially be freed one day, or will be leaked by someone. Tbh I don't care which way it happens, all I know is that a lot of us would long to hear this stuff..

They did post something on Facebook. It was even a small gif where the X part of the X&Y code was blinking (as in X also meaning 10) But sad to see that they almost never perform stuff from X&Y live, except Fix You. So much of a better album than for example MX, which they seem to love. By the way diogo, do you also have a personal X&Y connection to share ? :)

Even if it comes a day belated - Happy 13th Birthday, A Rush of Blood To The Head ! Coldplay's best album in the view of many people, and also best album ever according to a British poll. I actually meant to post it yesterday on August 12th, but completely forgot - sorry, blame it all upon a rush of blood to the head. ;) And not to forget some of the great B-Sides this Era spawned, like: Crests of Waves, Animals, I ran away, One I Love, I Bloom Blaum...
