  1. :laugh3: Not this old thread again. Calm down, it's different than it seems. ;) The lot that were arguing here could out-perv the current perv unit in a heartbeat, and wouldn't let anyone talk about anything else in any thread. In fact, there wasn't any other threads at the time- the entire first page was devoted to body part threads. :stunned::lol::sick: Thankfully they grew up into some very nice (much more sane) people before moving on. I really miss some of them now.
  2. I think adding "san" to a person's name is a sign of respect?
  3. That was mental. :laugh3: Please anyone who can translate it... even just the gist of what all the questions were would help. I mean, monkeys? What?
  4. Our parliament is based on your system. We've had plenty of Prime Ministers who were voted in by the party when the former PM stepped down, our last PM Paul Martin being the most recent. Take heart though, every single one of them that I know of has led to their party's catastrophic meltdown and been booted out of office- it's how the conservatives managed to take over after nearly 14 years of liberal rule. And again, our parliaments are just like that too. I've always though it was terrible- these people represent our country and they're acting like 5-year-olds as a way of determining policy. I remember when we had a field trip to Province House when I was in grade 12, I was shocked at how rude they all were, sitting there calling each other names (the really bad stuff rarely makes in on camera on those political channels) and a lot of the people who had been to Ottawa said it was way worse on the national level. But I have really come to appreciate it in recent years, seeing some of the crap that gets passed down south. It means that the parties can publicly call each other on their agendas and motives, embarrassing each other for the really lame stuff. And that seems to be a good thing.
  5. ^And a year or two of campaigning before that. Massively expensive; no wonder corporations and lobby groups have so much say in US politics. :bomb: It looks like we're going to have an election before the US gets around to actually voting, and ours hasn't even been called yet. Talk about laying down the gauntlet. Cool that either way it's not the old white boys club in the White House now. I'm still thinking both sides are wolves in sheeps clothing at this point though. :disappointed:
  6. You don't know our old school... Far sillier things have happened there.
  7.
  8. :laugh3: Man, I wish they would have kicked us out when we were done. Goodness knows some of us tried. Should have thought of bringing a superball. Guess they were afraid the guys would start playing hockey in the halls if they let them leave early. (They would have too... ) The cheap mechanical pencils apparently work especially well too... extra velocity, and easy to disguise. :sneaky: Goodness, it would be madness with us all together, wouldn't it?
  9. Has class even started yet? I'm bored already. Yes, I have a short attention span. *starts kicking back of chair in front of me* *throws a paper airplane at Briggins*
  10. *shrugs* Thanks though. :)
  11. Nope.

Ugh... brain bleach... need brain bleach... :dead:
  13. I knew that... but I still cut and paste anyway out of habit when I'm not quoting about 5 posts at a time. I think it showed up at the last overhaul when the album came out. Here's a question, how do you change mood now? The box is gone, but the moods are showing.
  14. That's the funny little paper button next to "quote", right?
  15. Mod school! :) *finds an empty seat in the middle of the class* So has anything actually been taught yet? .... *throws a paper airplane at texting Dave*
  16. Space Cadet replied to Sternly's topic in The Lounge
Mod party. :D Heh... I've just always assumed I'd be the crazy cat woman when I got old, running around the neighbourhood yelling at kids to keep off the grass and waving my umbrella around. :wacky: It'll be fun. Though I'd never keep more than 2 or 3 cats at a time- they are territorial. Can't say I've ever been in love with anyone, even when I had a boyfriend. Sure I loved him, still do, but I wasn't IN love...
  17. Just did about 70 in firefox to see what would happen. Nothing did.
  18. Yay! My long search is over. Yes, I've honestly never heard that before now. Good song. :D
  19. Well in the old days most of the songs were written a little bit lower than the songs on X&Y. He would generally sing in his middle range and then throw in a few falsetto notes to make you go wow. It sounded higher and more fragile because it was untrained and sounded like it took more effort to hit the high notes. And like Mimi said, it shredded his voice. There were long periods where he couldn't even talk. I think it's that fragility that many people miss, but there was no way he could build a lasting career on it. By X&Y because he had had training, his voice was much stronger so he sang high a lot more, and made it sound a lot easier. But the high songs (Speed of Sound comes to mind) stretched his voice out more live, and were more likely to suffer on a bad night and come across as a bit shrill. This time around the songs are lower, and what little I've heard live so far sounds better for it. But from all the bootlegs I've heard from over the years, his voice has always been beautiful in any era, and there have always been the occasional rough shows in every era, just like with any singer. It's the way he's used it that has changed from album to album, and he's certainly at his strongest right now. I think he's found just the right balance.
  20. Aw, now I'll never get to Clocks. Oh well. So now I need something short and witty. ..... *brain cramp* Yeah, I suck at short and witty. :(
  21. Aw. :nice: Well I have no intention of leaving. Though I'm taking a scary intense course this year so I may not have as much time as in the past. But you can always give me a shout if I've been lurking for too long.
  22. Oh, good. Here's a rapidshare one all the same: http://rapidshare.com/files/140086738/Intros.rar.html
  23. Yay :nice: #8 is Pendulum?
