Jackie - Thelonious Monk :cool: good choice...also M83, i kinda of like their CD, but i saw them supporting Interpol a short while ago, and every song kind of sounded the same, if it was one whole piece of music, i wouldn't have minded, but they didn't seem to have more than a couple of ideas. that's just my opinion though :) i still like the CD I sometimes fall asleep to music, and if i do, it's often soundtracks..Thomas Newman things mainly, like The American Beauty score...and sometimes it's Donnie Darko and loads more. As for bands/artists, if i'm alone it's: Bjork, Cornelius, Charlie Parker, Gareth Williams [my brother :D ] Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Lemon Jelly, Phoenix, Tortoise, Zero 7, Damien Rice, Johannes Brahms, The Sea & Cake, Miles Davis, and more i guess...i highly recommend any of those to sleep too :)

i kind of agree with both things. I think SoS is starting where Clocks left off, but i wouldn't say that they're VERY similar. But, also...it doesn't really matter if it was a clocks rip off either, because it's a different song, and you shouldn't HATE a song [as some people on the board have been saying] just because it may remind you of another song. that's pretty stupid.

The new single doesn't really seem as good as some previous foo fighters songs i've heard. It's no way an impactful first single as All My Life. in my opinion :)

my advice, is to buy a second hand cheap guitar...and practice on that! because, lots of people seem to want to learn and play, but give up. and, if you give up, or, it's not for you, then, you've only spent a little bit of money. But...if you're practicing on a cheaper [slightly not as good] guitar...then, the newer, more expensive and easier to play Guitar, will be something good to look forward too, and you can have the joy off looking forward to the day that you think you're ready to buy a good guitar, and it might make you want to practice more/harder. Once you have the new guitar, it'll be Easier to play because you've had to tackle your way through a harder start.! :)

i've heard the rest of the songs from the album now, and i actually think it will do well. A lot better than Heathen Chemistry, and it deserves too aswell! Liam has a song that is really unexpected from him, at least by me anyway. kind of sounded like the Doves as soon as i heard it. I'm glad Noel [and the rest] seem to be getting out of the old habbits a little more...i'd really like to see them go on and make a few more decent albums now :)

i find it good to download lots and lots of live gigs, to hear a variety of versions of songs. Because then when you listen to the album on occasion, it still sounds quite fresh
