What demo? this from the new album

Dont rhyme things directly (day, today) try extended rhyming couplets. (Hold, rode) (forced, remorce) ectra... the idea is you repeat the vocal hook for both lines. The 2 words dont need to rhyme in honesty, its the vocals between each line that need to link.

I hate two types of people on internet forums - those that put IMO before everything they say, even when its obvious and try to act like 'im not trying to upset anyone' and people who assume everything and say it like its absolute fact. People are free to express their opinions for sure, right or wrong, but if their self assuming and baseless I think its fine to be short in your response. I.e 'going down the wrong road' FFS, bands change, every band changes if they don't they get yelled at for not changing. Did you honestly think CP would just remake parachutes for their whole career? The wrong road... I like it, loads of people will, most fans of CP will love the new stuff (most here do) and at the end of the day CP know more about writing and making music than you do. Since they've sang their hits for so long, heard them so many times Im sure they've grown bored of their current contributions to music and want to make different sounding music.

Curious, if Coldplay released A Rush of blood to the head again or an album so similar to it that was indistiguishable from it, except less good, because CP had ran out of ideas of songs of that nature, would you be satisfied?

I think what they're doing is this. Violet Hill as download Release a single (propably a psychical version of Violet Hill or Viva La Vida) with a few songs on it. Release the album with 10 strong songs that fit a theme. No more releases from the album, the next single is independent, with a lot of B sides. Another independant single released with more B sides. Eventually an EP is released putting all the best B sides on one disc.

The problem isnt that your opinion contrasts with everyone else, its that you can't debate without being overtly and annoyingly dramatic and just come across as a silly kid who doesn't like the fact the band are changing. Nobody wants you to leave though, just think before you post. :)

The post implies this guy might very well like the new stuff but has no intension of liking the older stuff. I say if people are too ignorant to try new music leave them to their ignorance. And CP will manage to both amaze new fans and expand its listening base 'Low' even if you dont like it.

I dont see the point on getting fans onside who hated early coldplay, it proves nothing except how the band had to change to find new fans.

Its the best way to get started for sure, but eventually you need to sit down and think about it.

omg a good thread in the Coldplay section! Anyway Viva La Vida - for me is white and blue its set in the heavens. Violet hill - red, for me its violent and confrontational.

Can anyone help me out here? I think the main verse is [Am] [c] D D U D D D U U D D But it doesn't sound right and the riff doesn't end there, the problem with it is I think theres an enthisis on some chords. I also don't know the timing. This is the very first song I've ever tried to learn, so can someone give me the pattern and if applicable the hammer / silenced notes and timing.

They have some new stuff recorded, they've decided to sit on it for a while, mainly so Alex could get out his 'the last shadown puppets' release. Id expect a new album this year.

Wow, sombre thread. My first coldplay song was A rush of blood to the head and I remember thinking this rocks and is so powerful. Then I heard Twisted logic and though, wow this sends a shiver down my spine.

Took me a while to realise this one myself. Now I just write about a load of comical things, weird and wonderful stuff. I wrote a song the other day about a guy who thought the government was trying to kill him for his belief in the 'world wide gangster communist computer god' the other day. Inspired from wikpedia. I've also wrote songs about people I don't like, what I think of modern Britian, having regrets and all sorts. Im just gunna make loads of songs, then worry about the record placing order.

Early greenday was pretty samey, new greenday is pop done badly for the most part. I do like the first half of American Idiot tho, but its the only greenday I really bother with.

While the fact the page exists on wikiepedia is prepostorious enough, the discussion page is the funniest bit. Where people argue over what should or shouldn't be in a hypothetical 'how to kill a planet FAQ' whether it should be called 'planet destroyer /eater instead' and the people who just want the thread deleted for being so retarded.
