sorry if this is old news. but Michael Eavis, the man behind Glastonbury Fest has just unofficially confirmed that muse will be headlining Friday night at Glasto 2010 alongside U2 and possibly Stevie Wonder who will headline the other two nights.

well what went down this morning and on monday afternoon exemplifies the cut throat world of buying concert tickets in sydney. ticket sales for their "last" solo show were split over two days. combined it took less than 3mins for all 2500 to be sold out. i tried on both days and couldnt even get onto the page to buy the tickets. im considering forking out an extra $40 to see them at a festival the night after.

^^ its one of the most expensive shows ive bought tickets to in ages!! i really hope its worth it!

^^ you mean in one month! im seeing them on march 2 at the hordern in sydney. thats sold out but they've announced a second date at the Big Top in Luna Park. cant wait to see them live!!

^^ actually you will find that most bands with 5 or more albums (like muse) do at the very least a 2hr show. then you have the likes of pearl jam and U2 who push it to 2h30 to 3hrs. i'm sure muse will lengthen their shows once they start hitting the stadiums later this year.

has anyone heard the recording of their show in London last year on 12th november? just downloaded it off muselive and wow it is impressive. its as close as you can get to a professional recording without it being professional.

i guess its just the way the station is. you're simply not exposed to top 40 tracks when you listen to triple j. so naturally when the listeners vote the results reflect that. last year there was a concern that alot of mainstream fans who are casual listeners were voting but that fact proves that a great majority of the 130 000 voters are genuine alternative music lovers.

^^ personally i prefer being in what i like to call "the eye" of the pit. which is usually about 10 to 15 metres away from the barricade. anything closer usually leads to my frail skinny body being crushed like a grape and anything further back means i cant see a thing. its usually (from my experience at least) where the best moshing happens and being a mosh-addict, i love it!
