  1. VLV definitely. and the outfits?! they're nice and everything but don't really work for me. you seen how david gilmour dresses? with music like that you wouldnt need outfits. but i guess as will said, they try to build an artistic space around it and outfits are part of that

the quieter acoustic songs on MX were written at the very end of the recording process as a counterbalance to the bigger songs and had nothing to do with the original acoustic stuff they were working on very early on. how THEY sounded, we will never know. maybe they were great. plus the band will not do an acoustic record now. that im 100% sure of. i think they will continue with the sound of MX and as a way of evolving, maybe go even further into pop territory and try hip-hip or R&B even on a few tracks

yeah after X&Y everyone was anxious to see where they take their careers next and the outcome couldn't have been more triumphant. of course X&Y disappointed a lot of people and how Viva turned out was decisive for them. same situation again. some fans including myself were very disappointed with MX (not just the songs, the whole era and all their decisions) and unless they blow me away with whatevers next i don't see why i should continue buying their records

agree with everything you said. what they do next will be as significant as Viva was at the time. as for going into folk, thats just ridiculous
  5. just finished watching it for the first time, and im speechless. what a breathtaking show. not the band's best performance but who cares it was spectacular. and Politik at the end?! WOWW gave me goosebumps. how they've come this far is an example of what talent and determination can bring you
  6. GUYS LETS TALK ABOUT ONEREPUBLIC!! terrific band. i got into them just after dreaming out loud. seriously underrated band with huge potential and talent. some call them the american coldplay but in my eyes they're not one bit similar. they're AS talented as coldplay just not as big. oh and really looking forward to their new album and Feel Again is just brilliant [ame= ] [/ame]
  7. those of us who didnt watch it will greatly appreciate it if you make it available. as to how to upload, im not the best person to guide you with that!
  8. i couldn't watch it guys but by the sound of it must have been spectacular. WELL DONE COLDPLAY! hope i can watch it soon somehow
  9. really excited for the boys its gonna be EPIC! still bothered about rihanna but i guess if thats what makes them happy then so be it. daily mail is the worst tabloid out there. truly awful. not that any of the others are better though along with their readers!

i've read those before somewhere old news. plus they wont stop just likely to take a hiatus for some time which is a positive thing
  11. i couldn't believe Rihanna joined them on stage, and that she is gonna be in the DVD?!! one of those instances when you don't really know what to say

your opinion is pretty accurate. a part of me thinks now that they are THIS huge, they wouldn't want to stop growing even bigger. its like driving a supercar. once you hit 300 km all you think in your head is to go even faster. the desire and the feeling is addictive i think. and you cant fulfill both. they cant go back to their roots with LP6 AND try to fill bigger stadiums.

i really want them to take their time with LP6. take 2013 off and then spend at least two years after that working on new material. im not saying more time spent making it means a better album. No Line on the Horizon took 5 years and look how that turned out!! i know we are all too eager to hear new stuff but people need to be a lot more patient.
  14. hope its true. i personally think they should take more than a year off maybe two. a release in 2015/16 would be cool. and also its only chris whos moving to LA right?! not the whole band. why would the rest of them possibly wanna move there!

guys theres nothing wrong with taking a hiatus or a year or two off. if anything it should be cherished and i hope it IS true!
  16. i'm very proud of the boys they definitely made the right decision to do the paralympics. PoC with rihanna however, not a good move
  17. too right. im not sure if they will listen to our calls to change the setlist though. a rush particularly would be epic if they play it live again
  18. okay this is very difficult 1. High Speed 2. (don't have a least favourite on a rush. I think god was personally involved in creating that album :P) 3. Talk 4. Lovers in Japan (the most pointless song and video on that album) 5. the whole album except maybe three songs :o:no: just NO
  19. HEYYYYY GUYSSS ITS TODAY. WHY ISNT EVERY COLDPLAYER ON THIS THREAD RIGHT NOW?!!!! we're celebrating the greatest album of all time
