Teehee, since L.A. is my neck of the woods, hopefully Chris will stop by some places for fun so I can pretend to be a tabloid nut. :laugh3: Otherwise...umm...looking forward to Iron Man 2, I guess! The first one was the best superhero movie in a few years, and I'm eager to see how the sequel turns out.

Great blog, though those roadies must have been frantic. I am indeed curious of how they're gonna pull the outdoor summer shows if severe weather strikes. Obviously it won't happen here in L.A., but I wouldn't be surprised if the band played through a tornado.

My friend who was supposed to coordinate ticket payment sort of dropped the ball, so even though I tried my luck just for fun this morning, we didn't buy any. The best I found was some lower seating (I'm not too obsessive about GA), but they're no doubt gone now. If we can't get anything decent off the scalpers, we may just try our luck and hope for a second L.A. date announcement.

Given, the LIJ single didn't have any B-sides, but it's still a part of the Coldplay discography and I see no reason why it shouldn't be in there. Don't Panic is also missing.

It's the kind of day that screams "Amsterdam", if you know what I mean. :)

The fact that they quoted a so-called "band insider" as their only real source gives me the right to remain a skeptic. Admittedly, they've released material fairly close together. But obviously they plan out their time.

There's a lot of songs that hold sentimental value to me - Speed of Sound, The Scientist, Politik, etc. But none quite match how much I adore Clocks. Say what you want about how accessible it is to the mainstream; there's no denying Clocks' sheer beauty and majesty. The lyrics are totally open-ended, but it's more about the dominating piano as the lyrics take a backseat for the latter half of the song. When I see Coldplay in 30 years, I'll be glad to know they'll still be playing Clocks. :);)
