Nah, all the beats aren't electronic. For instance, look at Phil Selway's drumming especially on the King Of Limbs, none of those beats are programmed. Yeah maybe there's programmed beats in the songs, but the vast majority of songs have real drums...Every Teardrop, major Minus, Moving To Mars, Charlie Brown, Hurts Like Heaven, Princess Of China (possibly, we don't really know yet), Paradise does have real drums. So there, already we have every new song they've played, which has real drums in it...and maybe he's actually playing the electronic drums, drum machine maybe? And he wouldn't be sitting there doing nothing, of course he's made a big contribution! Listen to the drums on Every Teardrop and Major Minus, they're fantastic! Point: redundant.

All these people hating on Rihanna...don't judge a book by its cover! (sorry about that) You've got to hear the song first, don't assume it's going to be bad because Rihanna's in it, you never know, it might be a great mix, I mean you've already heard it, most people thought it was the best of the unreleased songs, but now the biased opinion takes over once it's heard that Rihanna's in it. So what if she's a chart topper? I say it's going to be good and I'm not saying a word of judgement until I've heard the final version, it's pathetic just saying "oh it's going to be so bad" or "This is the downfall of Coldplay" just because it's Rihanna. Fair enough if you think it's the style of music they've taken, but the whole thing about her destroying people's opinions is weird, and you can't make assumptions just yet, wait until the release THEN pass your judgements. And it's not Gwyneth's fault, don't play the Yoko Ono card on mr Martin! It's the style of music THEY want to do, like Muse and The Resistance, Radiohead and Kid A and things like that (not comparing quality of music but stylistic shifts). I say with the negative and "downfall of coldplay" it is in fact all the haters who are to blame, forcing the constantly negative opinion on the popular music direction they're taking. Rant...over.

7. It's really good, could be better. It's unoriginal, reminds me of everything in the charts right now, and although that's not necessarily a bad thing, they have the capacity to do much better, and the "para para paradise..." gets on my nerves.

It does have a meaning, it's a code, and when you decipher it, there's an internet link to an unreleased album of coldplay material, tour dates and other things. It's quite something! But seriously, I'm sure it means absolutely nothing at all, just decoration...and coincidence.

Definitely, call me old fashioned, but I like listening to an album as a whole, downloading individual songs is not satisfying for me at all. The order, continuity and flow of an album is vital for a proper experience.

I wouldn't mind about the number of instrumentals, bear in mind that Viva La Vida was the only album they put out with an instrumental song in it, so if anything it would be more of a shock if they actually put an instrumental in the album, but Brian Eno's composition will probably be wordless, if there are no lyrics added to it. And am I the only one who really doesn't care what length the album is? I think 42 minutes is going to be too short for this album, I'm seeing it go over 45, but that, and coldplay for me I just don't mind.

See it's available to officially download 15 minutes before I have to be at school...even though I'm 5 minutes form my school, it'd be hard to pack it all in (yes I want to rip the audio, but I will download the mp3, as it'll probably be better quality).

No, the idea of two halves comes from Vinyl records, that's what they're referring to, no storyline thing...old fashioned idea of vinyls having side A and B...that's the answer.

I do like it, although it sounds a bit rushed, as if he's making a big effort to get all those syllables into the phrase...but sounding good, can't wait to hear the whole song.
