For those that pre-ordered Mylo Xyloto
I think they've got enough money! I don't care who the money goes to, I'm just buying it from whoever's cheaper, and that's what the majority of people will think.

[3-Dec-2011] Coldplay @ SECC, Glasgow, Scotland
I want to go! BUT I've got tickets to the Arctic Monkeys and Red Hot Chillis and my dad's only letting me go to those 2, cause of my highers, but my mum thinks otherwise...this is mental. They'd come back at another point, but I so want to see Christmas Lights live, I'm sure they'll play it!!!

UK European Winter Tour - 9 dates announced so far (19th Sept 2011)
SIMMER. They'll come back to the UK on a later on date, there's no obligation for them to play about 7-10 dates in the uk, it doesn't state that in their contract or anything. Anyway, are you going to any of them?

Setlist European tour
They might not do an acoustic set...I've got a feeling they won't play Lovers In Japan, and I think the set will be similar to the festival sets, but good one anyway!

Thoughts on Kasabian's "Velociraptor!"
OH were they? Ha I know what you mean, there's nothing wrong with pop, and I can see where they're coming from. It's just that a lot of people associate pop with everything nowadays, but there's more to pop than that I guess.

Thoughts on Kasabian's "Velociraptor!"
Hey all. I went out about four hours ago to buy the new Kasabian record, which was released today, so it's bloody fresh. If you feel like it, you can read what I think of it, call it a review if you like, but I'm not saying anything technical, as I've only listened to it twice through, of there abouts. I had previously heard "Days Are Forgotten" and "Switchblade Smiles" before I got the album, and I was impressed, although I was unsure what was going on, as it seemed far too similar to most things they've done before. Upon first listening, I'm greeted with a massive gong sound reminiscent of James Brown's "Hell". Well, it certainly is not hell, as this song "Let's Roll Just Like We Used To" has proven to be my favourite form the album. Almost like a reprise of "Take Aim" form the previous record, it's got a very catchy horn section and hooks you instantly with it's rhythmic feel. This is a motif throughout the album, as it is in most of their songs. Now, I must say, this album is not a drastic change to what they've done before, as they said themselves, some of the songs are left over from "West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum". so will naturally have similarities, however, it is a fresh re-invisioning of that classic Kasabian sound most of us have grown to know. Judging from songs like "Goodbye Kiss" and "Man Of Simple Pleasures", they are adopting a more 60s influenced sound, with some (believe it or not) Motown-ey influences. There's a larder psychedelic flavour with this album too. Lyric wise, there is largely nothing new here, it's all of the usual Kasabian topics that you would generally expect, but with that natural progression that you would also expect, but there's a sort of almost war-driven, primeval feel to the lyrics of the songs, suggesting "Writing all your wrongs", "Having the eyes of a madman" and " nowhere left to hide", there's a sense of urgency and hurrying with this. It's not an absolutely amazing record, but likewise it isn't bad, it's pretty much what I expected them to do, which I have to say, no other album this year has managed to do for me, so I congratulate them on that, but more to the point, I am seeing a more mature sound which harkens back to their debut album taking portions of their other two. Favourite track: Either "Let's Roll Just Like We Used To" or "Switchblade Smiles" Rating....7/10

Mylo Xyloto Listening Party in Austin
Honestly, if I was her I wouldn't even post the review, with the amount of rude comments, those people don't deserve to see it, that's putting an unnecessary amount of pressure on her for nothing, just bloody wait for the album to come out.

Will playing Xylophone on HLH!!
Oh yass!! Never noticed that either! Lovely performance too, never seen them perform this in daylight, don't think the fireworks work in those conditions :L You can also hear the elec drum kit more in the little bit when it all stops.

I don't think this album will be as great as VLVODAAHF
I agree, Hurts LIke Heaven's gonna be massive. This won't be as good, but I'm pretty sure it'll be fantastic tough, no doubt.

Does anyone a high res image of the covers of the singles "What if" and "White Shadows"?
Ah alright no problem, happy to help you out!

Why do we hate "parapara" and "wawawa" but not "slowowowow"?
well....I don't like Us Against the World at all. But it's just a bit annoying. However, I'm not actually that annoyed by the song, I now think it's not bad.

Those are the absolute best I can do sorry! Try going on one of those x&y artwork generator websites and do it there, they're pretty high quality.

Does anyone who disliked this song from the beginning feel it has grown on them since first listen?

Rate "Up in Flames"
I like this one quite a bit. The piano's lovely and likewise with the guitar, drums are rhythmic and lush and the bass...well I'm guessing it'll be nice and smooth. Can't really make out the lyrics, but the "up in flames" bit does get slightly repetitive and I'm getting that vibe with everything from this album so far, although that's not a major put-down, repetition can be good! It does get slightly boring, but once the guitar comes in at the end, it's excellent. The intro really gets me, it's just brilliant. Contrary to a lot of people, I don't think it sounds like anything from Parachutes, if anything A Rush Of Blood, it's a little darker and closer (y'know). I gave it a nice 8, it could be better, I think the studio version will be absolutely fab, but the guitar could be more prominent with more in it.

Your 'Best of Coldplay' Album

Paradise Live
it's sooooooooooooooo much better! You can hear Jonny's part a hell of a lot more, the drums sound amazing, but chris was so off key during it!
-
The girl from Paradise.
She is dead skinny, as MXY said. Wonder what she'll be like in the video...
-
The girl from Paradise.
Bloody hell almost had a heart attack when I saw her, she is FINE. Well, I know I'll be watching the video over and over again...I've found a new love for the song now. EDIT: Seeing MX&Yellow's new posts of pictures...maybe not so much...

How does Jonny contribute to this song?
This is totally true, I mean maybe he has lots of underlying and subtle guitar lines which sound like something else? But I keep getting this almost depressed feeling whenever I hear any of the songs form this era, as if it's their last, I dunno it's odd. It feels as if this is a band trying to push out something which isn't really there and the result is slightly unoriginal songs which follow the crowd... I hope to god (if there is one) that he has a bigger part in the album, not for "parachutes sakes" but, judging by Martin's statements, if he's lied, that'll be rubbish.

Are Coldplay kindof like a Cult?
That's really weird. I'd have thought to be a fan of someone, you've got to be critical to at least something...but it looks like these people are close to mindless with their opinions and only see the good in the songs, it's quite scary actually! :L

What do you think of the new song 'Paradise'?
That is all.
