  1. I've been searching for the heart video for ages and can't find it. But this isn't it. The one I remember shows him dead on, looking down and clearly making a heart with this hands. The person shooting the video much have been just behind Gwyneth. Anyone know it?
  2. "High Violet" by The National has been on repeat for days.
  3. +1

Got tickets for the last scheduled show in Lancaster, PA. I'm sure more dates are coming. You'd think there'd be some official word on the new album before the first show in Rochester. Especially since any new stuff played at these shows will be all over youtube. Why no word??????

I've been a mega Interpol fan since first hearing total perfection -- aka "Turn On The Bright Lights." I am not surprised at all that Carlos is leaving. He's appeared unhappy & disinterested for the last few years. During the last tour, he appeared to be half-heartedly going through the motions. He's made it known that he was interested in pursuing other things and that he hated touring. I think this decision was a long time coming and I wish him well. I am very interested to hear the new Interpol. I know it couldn't have been easy to try to continue as a cohesive band when one member is obviously miserable. I think this will prove the best move for all parties.
  6. So was Gwyn's. I mean look at them -- they've got MEGA Heads. :laugh3:
  7. Ummmm, can someone say "Photoshop?"
  8. I just got the following email: Dear Customer, Greetings from Amazon.co.uk. We regret to inform you that the following items have been delayed as we are still awaiting stock from our suppliers : Matt McGinn "Roadie: My Life on the Road with Coldplay" Estimated arrival date: June 08 2010 - June 10 2010 Damn! I'm in the U.S. I paid extra to order it from the U.K. so I could get it faster.
  9. Nope. Although I will look back at past experiences with fondness, I don't dwell on them. I am naturally optimistic and honestly believe that tomorrow's experiences will be special in their own right. Longing for the past would be so sad.

July 2005 I was in a bad accident and was in physical therapy for 9 months -- 2.5 hours a day, 3x a week. They had the same freakin' cd playing on a continuous loop, which I now know was "X & Y." I wasn't a CP fan at the time and I was sick to death of it. I asked my therapist how he could stand it and he said the office manager was a huge CP fan and controlled the P.A. system. He & I used to talk music and when I was discharged I made him a mixtape and called it, "Not Coldplay." And now I've got CP on a continuous loop (not really), but more than just "X & Y."

Me. But I'm not a fangirl -- as I've a son older than most of you. I work in the fitness field and program music for exercise classes. I use all kinds of music, but rarely radio stuff. Before LVL, I dismissed Coldplay. The itunes commercial caught my ear as a good track for work. I didn't even know it was Coldplay. I remember googling it to find out who was singing it. I bought the CD the day it came out and was shocked to like it very much. My son made fun of me when he saw it in my car. I started downloading concert torrents and was totally captivated by their live performances. I used to think of Chris Martin as 'white bread,' but I couldn't believe how dynamic he was on stage, falling for older performances more than Viva stuff. Then one of those concerts included "Amsterdam" and my jaw dropped. So #5 will be the first Coldplay release I'm waiting for. And I am hoping that Chris rediscovers that he can command an audience with passion, energy & integrity, without costumes and running around like a nut. So if anyone's still reading, that's my Coldplay story. :)
  13. OMG, HYSTERICAL!
  14. There's quite a few songs I'm not crazy about but I absolutely detest "We Never Change."
  15. Very nice job!
  16. With smug self-righteous indignation, I've been telling myself that I will not succumb to any leaks if/when they happen, but after reading "the leak thread" my knees are weak. I wasn't around back then but I'll be around this time and I CANNOT WAIT. I'm going to be d/l that shit so fast I may sprain a finger. (but I will also buy 2 copies -- one for the house & one for the car)
  17. Wonder where those metal steps are. He was snapped coming down them 2 different days (or at least wearing 2 different shirts).
  18. I like all kinds of music so I'm not an obsessive everything-they-do-is-perfect Coldplay fan, but I honestly think it could have placed higher. It is such a wonderful album with several stellar tracks (AROBTTH, Amsterdam, The Scientist...)
  19. LOLOLOLO, but you forgot the beanies -- either the black & white striped one or his green & yellow rastaman one. My god, will someone talk to this boy.
  20. Maybe, maybe not. One thing is certain from past album titles -- they are never arbitrary. They are always very well thought out. So if it is called The Beehive, there will be a good reason. Can anyone remember from past interviews -- which comes first, the album title or the chosen songs? I know they mentioned that they knew VLV would be VLV pretty early on, but did they already have songs written at that time?
  21. Thanks for posting! Is it just me or does Chris seem under the weather? He seems much more subdued, tired, or something.
