I underlined the slight changes I hear. Still not sold on the 'spinning' & 'innocent liar' lines. I don't think they are 100% but I can't make out exactly what he's saying. This darn song has been replaying in my head all day.

I do think that Chris invites this stuff because he often says they steal stuff in interviews. I know he's just goofing around, but I don't think he does himself any favors by inviting comparisons.

No matter what it's called, it's my favorite so far. On repeat...

Same order here. Have you seen Carlos' crazy video? I think I'm the only Interpol fan who was not a Carlos fan. I appreciate his musicianship, but found him arrogant & annoying. I am really interested to see if they will back off the orchestration on the next album (praying there's one), without his influence.

Question, for those who may know....are singles historically released on a specific day? Here in the states, new albums are usually released on Tuesdays.

Cute idea but I think the band releases music they want to release. If they decided not to release something, I have to trust they know best. I think it would be a better idea if fan-driven projects show appreciation for something already released (i.e. the postcards project).

Coldplay and their army are sheer genius at keeping their fans engaged while they are between projects. Seriously. They could teach marketing courses. Don't think for one second anything is spontaneous. They are brilliant.

I'd be shocked. And disappointed.

That's good advice and I can see how it can help your confidence. After feeling pretty good about my little songs I started with, we've started chords and leaving the safety of middle C, and I'm feeling overwhelmed and unteachable. Going back to those earlier successes will help me remember that 2 months ago I didn't even know what middle C was. :)
