Article: Why people hate Coldplay
If A Rush of Blood to the Heart didn't make him happy, he should try Viva la Diva or something...

'Radiohead are better than us' - Coldplay
In fact, Radiohead sometimes try too hard to be experimental, and sometimes all true feeling from music is lost (or at least it's hard to catch it amongst all those noise - see King of Limbs). What is the main principle of Radiohead? To break boundaries, perhaps. That is brave and interesting, and make many people respect them and want to follow them. What is the main principle of Coldplay? To write music, which is melodic and sincere. As Chris has put it, they would never cross one line, they deliberately have drawn - there should always be melody in the song. They will never go further. And it makes them a band you can like or even love with your heart, but not many people (especially musicians) respect them.

Coldplay's Twitter
The man can ride unicycle. He has to do at least something bad :D.

Amsterdam
Maybe I am the only human on Earth that doesn't go crazy after Amsterdam. It's a good song, but I've never been awed and amazed by it to death. Matter of tatste perhaps.

Why does everyone hate 'The Hardest Part'?
I like THP. I like the thick sound of it, I like how piano, guitar and bass merge into one melody, while each instrument is playing different one. I like lyrics, for some reason I can relate to them. That is lovely song with lovely music video (yes, yes its strange, but in a goofy-Chris kinda way, you've got to like;))

LP6
I just hope that LP6 will decrease in scope. I mean it would be nice to have less fanfare on an album for a change. They won't go completely acoustic, perhaps. But a bit less electronic sounds and a bit more live unstruments would be nice. And as there is tendency of Coldplay exploring the world (Spanish-Latin America influences on Viva, Asian on Mylo), I wonder where would they go next? Return to Britain perhaps?

PoC video
I think it's ok that the boys don't appear in a video like this. Perhaps they are not so fond of experiments as Chris is (riding unicycle, sword-fighting and stuff). I distinctively remember Jonny saying he loved each video in which he doesn't have to star. After all, I don't think they were driven out. *And still I don't understand why this song couldn't have been just Chris-Rihanna collaboration. It seems that the whole band fits nowhere in this song. Strange producer decision.*

PoC video
Does she really has to dress like a slut? Otherwise, no complaints of the video, yet.

Why people hate Coldplay?
It's normal that Coldplay is not everyone's cup of tea. But you've got to be really stupid asshole with no real life to go bashing the band you don't like on the Internet. I can understand ridiculing some over-advertised "stars", that are used by their producers to get as much money as they can. But when people start getting at someone, who is a decent artist (not only Coldplay), really annoys me.

NME 'reviews' Charlie Brown
I am surprised they didn't mention Apple in the review. Because, hey, singer's children are as important for the quality of music as his wife's cooking abilities. I wonder wheteher they have any vacancies now, 'cause I'd be happy to receive money for stupid insults of other people's music. I won't have to listen to the actual tracks really.

Is it now 'cool' to like Coldplay?
I'm afraid listening to Coldplay is as uncool as ever. Just google it.

Coldplay nominated for 3 Grammy Awards // Paradise to feature on 2012 Grammy Nominees Album (pg.5)
I actually liked acoustic Princess of China. I thought it was a nice touch in between of very synth-heavy songs, and definetely it was something no one expected. To me Chris sounded very decent on PoC, I didn't hear any major flaws or something besides some variations to the original melody, usual in live performances. Rihanna wasn't flawless, but far from disaster too. Actually it was all nice, neat, interesting. Bombastic? No. I'm afraid the boys stepped into the field, where they don't feel very comfortable, thus the lack of chemistry with Rihanna and lack of contagious energy they usually show during their concerts. But, since Chris was ill, we can easily overlook it. Didn't listen to Paradise, tho. Just a bit tired with this song.

CHARLIE BROWN MUSIC VIDEO! (both studio and live videos in first post)
I gave it 7. It is considerably enjoyable, xylobands are a lot of fun and painted crowd looked great, as did the boys. And I love Matt Witecross's directing. But... Comparing it to GPASUYF, The Scientist, Life in Technicolor ii - this looks cheesy. Snogging looked awkward, the couple is unconvincing. Well, boys wanted to have fun with this album, I hope they had a good time. But it really is time to put some depth into their work. And pop music is not a source for that kind of inspiration. I am ready to accept this era as a transitional period, but one more album in that direction and I will be seriously dissappointed. You heard that, Chris?:inquisitive:

Adele
For me Adele's songs wear off too fast. I liked 21 when it's been released, but now I'm bored with it. And that it's being played basically from everywhere doesn't help. She has an amazing strong voice, but her songwriting is pretty much bland. I think, people are just plainly tired from slick pretty girls singing utter rubbish to electro beats. And Adele looks so very real, that it's easy to relate to her music and have a good cry to Someone Like You.

Topless women in Charlie Brown Video... Thoughts?
Common, people. Do you really imagine Chris in bling on his naked torso, throwing around bucks on naked women's breasts? And some hot babes rubbing against Jonny and Guy as they pretend to play guitar? That's a music video, not mass orgy. And I'm quite certain that the boys can tell one from another. I'm sure they have enough taste not to make something that ridiculuos and unnecessary. If there is some nudity, I'm sure it is not straight to your face look-at-that-boobs-again-and-again thing. If they do thing that this will create a shade of wildness, so let it be. Mat Witecross hasn't disappointed me so far, despite Chris's mad ideas.

Coldplay On Q Magazine (Q306) - Scans on page 5
Thanks for the scans! I wonder who is paranoid ironist in the Jay-Z - Beyonce pair?

GaGa Admires Martin
^^ My first thought on this was Hey, this is Guy Garvey! Then I noticed Chris's piercing blue eyes and only then I looked at the Gaga. For the first time I though she's got a point wearing all those ridiculuos stuff, she wouldn't get recognized unless there's a giant dead octopus on the top of her head.
