  1. I seriously envy those of you who have in on vinyl :( Also, I'm probably going to wait and see if the stores in my country are selling the deluxe edition (fingers crossed). I just need those bonus tracks!
  2. I still remember receiving an email for a free download of Violet Hill from Coldplay. And man, I was wonderstruck! I think Coldplay themselves did a lot for during the Viva La Vida. The LRLRL Ep was also available to be downloaded for free. And yes, those Prospekt entries! I Miss those days oh so much :\
  3. Awesome! I'll PM you a link to my mixtape when it's done :)
  4. Whatever that catches my ears. Guitar and piano. Here's an instrumental cover of Shiver that I did, if you guys are interested: https://soundcloud.com/brian-bijoy/a-coldplay-shiver-cover :D Favourite superhero?
  5. Awesome! Let us know if there's a response. I'm curious now too :)
  6. You should! Give Attack & Release and Brothers a try. They're different from Turn Blue though. But really nice garage blues rock stuff.
  7. Yeah, their albums before A&R were very heavy blues rock. Personally I think Brothers are still their best album to date. But you've gotta cool down on expectations with Turn Blue. Everything's simple and musically it makes sense. The syncopated drum and bass. I believe this album's going to go pretty far :D
  8. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb :|
  9. I really admire those of you who rate X&Y highly. Most of us here have ranked it in the bottom two or so. I believe you guys have some sort of a connection to the album. Bravo, Coldplayers :)
  10. It's all up to you to make things happen. With effort and dedication I'm certain it'll be possible :)
  11. Yup, because mainstream people enjoy mainstream music.
  12. Just cute. It's pretty tough to decipher his voice with all the reverb and effects. I find that frustrating :(
  13. You know what's the best thing to do here? Ask the Oracle :)
  14. What?? Okay okay. Fine. I'm going to make an LP 10 thread. Feel free to drop by guys :rolleyes2: !
  15. But there was no headbanging involved... Oh dear, Chris Martin headbanging... One can only imagine :guitarist:
  16. :laugh4: No. Lol. Please, no.
  17. I actually admire Avicii's work in his album True. It wasn't EDM all the way through. I liked how he brought in different genres to blend with electronica. And of course, his synths are so obvious in ASFOS. With today's charts revolving around a lot of EDM, pretty sure ASFOS is going to reach Top 10 in many different countries
  18. Here's a weird fun fact about me, I'll fall asleep if I drink coffee. Yeah. Weird. I know. I get that a lot. So, I'll have an empty cup of coffee, thank you :awesome: What's your favourite sport?
  19. Revising eras would be something really cool. Imagine if they threw small shows where they only played stuff from their older albums. Wouldn't that be oh so very..... nice :dozey: Back to reality, don't think they'll ever do that. Bands are constantly challenging themselves to try new stuff. So there's never going to be an album with only acoustic instruments involved. Ghost Stories seems like a past-time album that they decided to come up with (i.e. I don't think they were planning to win Grammys with this album) Up to date they've tried futuristic tones, Renaissance period themes, colourful synths, and now monochrome-like themes with Ghost Stories. The question is, what other kind of music have they not experimented with? Perhaps Latin american, middle eastern and African music? I don't know :inquisitive:
  20. A little off topic but, how well are these books transcribed for the guitar? Do they sound decent when played? I've always wondered if I should get the Guitar Tabs book by itself or just buy the whole PVG version. (The PVG has chords and melodies, of course)
  21. And if the original form looks like a pigeon, I'll be glad to be your first customer. Heh :D
  22. Very nicely done mate. Really like the chord progression, goes well with the lyrics. This would sound even more brilliant with a band, start forming one ;D
  23. Is it too late for me to participate in this super awesome thread? :\
  24. I didn't like 42 when I listened to it first too. But once I listened to the live version on the LRLRL live album, I became a believer
  25. I WANT TO KNOW THE SAME THINGGGG! I went for the OneRepublic concert last year. It was amazing! Couldn't stop wondering what a Coldplay experience would be like D: !
