Paradise *OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO!* (Youtube Video In First Post, plus 1-10 elephant poll))
Not sure what I think of it yet. Certainly more interesting than most Coldplay videos (Life in Technicolor ii and Strawberry Swing are obvious exceptions), but I don't really like that concert scene at the end. The camera-work isn't nearly as smooth and, dare I say it, artistic as the rest of the video, and as a result it seems kind of jarring. The elephant group hug is kind of endearing though.

I'm never listening to the live songs until the album releases ever again
...Ok.

What would you like to hear in the mx ep?
Most of this is just speculation. I am fairly sure that most these are separate songs, all of which have the potential to be released at some point. Though probably not in an EP, which there is no evidence for at all. Obviously, I'm not including Spanish Rain or Wedding Bells in this. Anyway...if there WERE, by some miracle, an EP, I would like it to look like this; 1. Alien Radio 2. Car Kids 3. Great Expectations 4. REX 5. Golden Arrow 6. Tomorrow

MMIX=Intro of Where The Streets Have No Name?
Thought the same.
-
Sounds like The Killers.
Nope. This song is My Bloody Valentine-esque in that the louder it is, the better it is. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If Moving To Mars Was On MX...
AFTER Up in Flames.

U.F.O. Lyrics
It's an expression. It's also used in Us Against the World. Example: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaAVJk1x97Y]The Kooks - Watching The Ships Roll In - YouTube[/ame] And it's most definitely rolling. Listen very carefully.

Has a "wedding bells" feel to it
Can't agree with you in that I think while Chris's voice is indeed beautiful on this track, the vocal effects are pretty awesome as well.

[DLIBYH] Lyrics
And if I lost a map If I lost it all I fell into the trap And she goes “When you’re tired of racing And you find you never left the start Come on, baby Don’t let it break your heart” Those heavenly regrets Still, on we crawl Trying to catch a cannonball And so burning tired Through my maze is flowing From a shipwreck I heard a call And she said “When you’re tired of aiming your arrows Still you never hit the mark And even if your aims are shadows Still we never gonna part Come on, baby Don’t let it break your heart Don’t let it break your heart Don’t let it break your heart --- Now it's perfect.

Mylo Xyloto 320kbps torrent (NO LINKS)
My mom's computer filter doesn't let me download torrents (I know, I know...). Is their anyway you could put it on mediafire or rapidshare as well?

Biggest Disappointment and Surprise of Mylo Xyloto
14 full songs is too many for an (Coldplay) album, I think. It would drag on too long, that was X&Y's whole problem. ...on second thought, X&Y had way more problems than that. :laugh3: Anyway, less is more, and I think Coldplay understands that pretty well.

Your Review of MX (Thoughts, Opinions, Favorite Tracks, and Hated Tracks)
Really? I actually find U.F.O. extremely boring. There's absolutely nothing memorable about it. Hurts Like Heaven, on the other hand...the robotic voice effects sound great harmonizing with Chris's voice. I would only change one thing about this song; there's way too much reverb/delay on Jonny's first guitar solo, makes it messy. Would be good with a tiny bit of distortion as well.

Biggest Disappointment and Surprise of Mylo Xyloto
I would add Bon Iver's Beth/Rest to that list. It's not autotuned all the way through, but there are these little robotic flourishes that are just beautiful. Daft Punk can't be forgotten either. Just listen to Harder Better Faster Stronger and tell me it's not awesome.

Lyrics (page 2 onwards)
Listening to the studio version, it is clearly NOT "come bursting through concrete." It's either "come busting the concrete" or "combusting the concrete." I'm going with the latter.

How does the album work as a concept record?
You know what? I think you're right. My interpretation just changed to match yours.

Your Review of MX (Thoughts, Opinions, Favorite Tracks, and Hated Tracks)
Haha yeah, Faust Arp is about a million times better than U.F.O. :laugh3:

Your Review of MX (Thoughts, Opinions, Favorite Tracks, and Hated Tracks)
I understand that, but these statements imply that you have multiple contradictory opininons, which is, of course, impossible. Definitely. I think it sounds a bit like Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground. Good stuff.

Aren't these statements somewhat contradictory? :dozey:

Moving to Mars
I suppose it could sort of fit with the story there... I never really liked Moving to Mars anyway, though. :laugh3:

More like Rihanna feat. Coldplay?
Doesn't make a difference to me. I'm fine with Rihanna's part, I just wish that Chris's voice was mixed higher on parts where they both sing.
-
Us Against The World?
Should be in the Us Against the World thread. But I agree.
-
Hurts Like Heaven (Studio Lyrics)
Almost perfect. I'm pretty sure it's actually "at the streets' arising we're writing the same." Some of Coldplay's best lyrics though.
-
The Massive Attack Influence
Opinion. I might as well tell you to get over Coldplay because, in my opinion, they're nothing special.
-
Up in flames studio version is amazing
That last bit is definitely Chris. But, unlike some of you, I actually love how his voice sounds there. It's raw emotion, something I can't say for most of the album.

Lyrics (final) UiF
Chris definitely needs some English lessons.
