  1. Every single one of them have stolen jokes.
  2. Conan's lost it. Loved his show back in the day, but the whole Tonight Show thing seems to have drained him.
  3. Coldplay >>>> Fallon > Leno >>>> Kimmell > Ferguson > O'Brian >>>>>> Letterman
  4. With the Prospects March EP, Lost! And Lovers in Japan osaka sun mix weren't entirely new songs, PCFFA was less than a minute, that is already whittled down to 5. Throw Moving to Mars on an EP with other discards, you could match PM pretty easily.
  5. I see no signs of them not making another album. The "i've got nothing left" rhetoric is even less prevalent than it was after Viva. I could see them takingtaking a year off though after the MX tour though.
  6. Moonbeam and Dweasel Zappa say hello
  7. I hope so. I couldn't imagine my Coldplay catalogue without Life in Technicolor II or Glass of Water. Not to mention Postcards from Far Away is a nice little interlude.
  8. The correct answer to this poll is: Not soon enough
  9. Is it just or does Coldplay's worst and/or cheesiest song titles end up becoming their very best songs?
  10. I'd list the showat 22 songs: Can't leave em outs: 6 Viva La Vida Fix You Clocks Yellow The Scientist Politik MX Era songs: 8 Charlie Brown Hurts Like Heaven Us Against the World Every Teardrop is a Waterfall Paradise Major Minus Up in Flames Don't Let it Break Your Heart That leaves 8 songs from the other 4 albums to include. For me it would be Other: 8 Lovers in Japan Violet Hill Sparks Life in Technicolor II Speed of Sound The Hardest Part A Rush of Blood to the Head Trouble I'd also rotate in Death and All His Friends every now and then.
  11. Charlie Brown >> Hurts Like Heaven > Every Teardrop is a Waterfall > Us Against the World >>>> Paradise >> Up in Flames >>>> Major Minus
  12. X&Y is a solid album, but my least favorite Coldplay release. I has several solkid tracks, but only two standout ones (to me at least) in Fix You and Speed of Sound. The Hardest Part would probably be my third favorite tune from X&Y, but it's a tier below SoS and two or three tiers below Fix You.
  13. Labels have become more sophisticated in preventing leaks the past few years. As long as the band management is careful (and I believe they are) then it won't hit the internet until the 19th when it is released in Japan.
  14. I hear it now, he is just elongating 'All' into two syllables.
  15. Now that i've been told it's luminous, it sounds so obvious. Oh, and it's All of the boys, all of the girls
  16. This is like a fat guy blaming food for him being fat. If experiencing all the new music when the album comes out was so important, than they should have refrained from listening. If that sounds harsh, thats because the truth hurts sometimes. Personally, I can't get enough early. Listening to the Viva album is a completely different experience than listening to a live collection of it's songs. I'll judge the album once it comes out, and even then not until a few weeks and several listens have passed.
  17. Parachutes: 8.2 A Rush of Blood to the Head: 9.0 X&Y: 7.6 Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends: 9.75 Predicted score for Mylo Xyloto on music heard and news on future tracks: 8.8
  18. MX already has 4 songs I either love or really like in Charlie Brown, Hurts Like Heaven, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall and Us Against the World. Odds are pretty good at least two more will fall into one of those two categories, which will make a pretty damn good album for me. I don't dislike Paradise but it doesn't stand out for me, it's in the 'solid' category. The only song so far I don't really care for is Major Minus.
  19. From what they said it seems pretty certain that MX, MIX and ART are the short instrumentals.
  20. I don't get why people think a song will sound a certain way because of its title. Especially with Coldplay.
  21. I just don't care for it. To me it's as lyrically simple as any of the new songs, I don't care for the hook and honestly don't think the solo is that much to write home about. To each his own.
  22. That's why I used the qualifier 'based on what i've heard so far', and I have heard more than half the songs on the album.
  23. The Duke replied to followchrist77's topic in U.F.O.
It will either be a short instrumental interlude or a little diddy like Parachutes (the song) was.
  24. Based on what i've heard so far, i'll likely like MX better than X&Y and probably Parachutes. VLV AROBTTH MX Parachutes X&Y Frankly i'm just glad they are taking chances. I'd rather they take a chance and whiff than just put out album after album that gets more and more stale and repetitive. They took a chance, love it or hate it, you should be happy they are doing what they are doing. Maybe LP6 will be more your cup of tea. For me, with Charlie Brown, Hurts Like Heaven, ETIAW and Us Against the World this album is already solid for me. And maybe DLIBYH, PoC, AHT or Up With the Birds will have something that surpirses us all.
  25. I loved the Austin City Limits Festival performance. I thought just a tick more up tempo worked really well.
