Tunnel Blanket was pretty good, but TCx3 is still my post-rock AOTY. Do Make Say Think, Tortoise, and Explosions In The Sky are my favorite post-rock bands.

I hope Princess Of China is backed with a nice new b-side, I have a feeling that the MX b-sides are better than the actual content.

The Paradise video is, and I'd rather not use this word but it feels incredibly appropriate, GAY. :thumbsdown: Not even gay in the steamy sexy way, but gay in the ahhmahgawddd betches way.

Rihanna sings significantly better than Chris on this.

MTM would be an obvious standout on the album, it would reflect the wasted potential sprawled over fourteen songs. Better left a b-side, a lost treasure and a legend for those genuinely interested. :nod:

They're good with their album closers.

If anything, it's kind of forgettable. I'll always know it as the most in-your-face Coldplay song. :shrug: Only time will tell.

Hey, I Bloom Blaum is outstanding. :|

It's a great song but I wish the guitar wasn't so quiet, especially at the beginning.

I still can't believe that Luminous and Golden Arrow took no part in any of the songs we didn't hear.

:shrug: Mylo Xyloto is has flaws and Princess Of China doesn't seem to be one of them.

Up With The Birds reminds me a little bit of Native Speaker in the beginning. The varying volume of vocals, the two sets of intelligible and unintelligible vocals, and just that dreamy sound. I'm glad I wasn't the first one or the only one to spot this. :D I noticed it today when I was listening in class, it definitely gives the album (and UFO as a song) more merit.

I don't know what to make of DLIBYH. UWTB is great, it just took a couple listens to recognize it. What really strikes me about this album is the prominence of the MX melody, it's everywhere. Anyone else see that? Mylo Xyloto, strings in UFO, A Hopeful Transmission, even in Don't Let It Break Your Heart...?

lol at the people who keep using "Princess Of China (feat. Chris Martin)" as their excuse not to like it/hate it. Coldplay has a full discography just shy of a hundred songs in their arsenal and you whine about how Chris isn't as apparent on just one. Sure your least favorite pop diva stole the spotlight from Chris, but at least she did it right. The instrumentation is really nice. Sexy beat, fresh synth, all it's missing is the bass.

I see nothing wrong with Princess Of China's lyrics, it's strikes me as one of the more tantalizing things they've done. Sure the fans are okay with Rihanna, but they're probably super buttmad that she stole the spotlight almost completely. If there's any song that milks the ohhhhs it's Paradise.
