Btw, I'm Orthodox and we celebrate it on January 7th. :dozey: And we associate Santa with New Year's, also the presents and the tree. Christmas is celebrated totally traditionally and it's not commercialized. Still, Merry Xmas to all of you who celebrate it today. :nice:

The thing is, pop(ular)/mainstream music is everywhere, it's on radio, TV, they play it on parties... You can't escape it, and you can't always choose not to listen to it. So I do care about what's happening to it. There was a time when it used to be bearable or really good and today, with the internet ruining the music industry, I have a feeling that everyone stopped caring. They're making these idiotic songs that I could make using some program. And I feel pretty good with generalising because 90% of those pop songstresses' songs sound pretty much the same. Or DJs with their electropop crap... I feel like an idiot when I go to a party and don't consider this an EPIC song...

I really hope they'll see it and you'll get feedback. :nice:

OK, I had my first CP dream (not a vigin any more). :surprised: It was like this guy I totally made up, never seen him before, and me joined Coldplay. And we're having these rehearsals/jam sessions. They hired that guy to bring really rocky electric guitar but suddenly he starts singing, and he has this epic voice, he hits a high note and keeps it and we're all speechless and in awe. :wideeyed: We tell him - do it again, and he does it, and Chris is like - fuck me, I'm never singing again. :D And why they hired me? I have no idea. I don't play any instruments (I guess I could learn to play drums and percussions easily). So I'm just singing their old songs all day long, but sometimes improvising, changing parts of them and coming up with new suff. But we're driving Chris crazy, overstimulating him and inspiring him, so he has to go away jogging or riding a bike to clear his mind and think of songs and he comes back with almost finished songs. So there you have it Coldplayers, you should start a petition for me joining the band so that you'll get a lot of awesome new songs faster. :lol:

Thank you for enlightening me. I live under a rock in Western Sahara and I can still hear the term occasionally. But what do you mean by outdated? Is it useless because popular music's been shit for the last decade or so (except for Coldplay of course :dazzled:) or is the term kinda retro per se?

He was banned because Eno wanted the guys to come up with weird sounds and ideas, and Chris usually comes up with almost finished songs. But you knew that probably... :)
