  2. A Hopeful Transmission/Don't Let It Break Your Heart
  3. Well said. Maybe we need to bring back my short-lived #ResurrektProspekt from over a month ago. Roadie 42 has gone silent and now all we're getting are vague "I can't tell you anything but stay tuned" tweets from Rik Simpson. Sure, some of this is our own fault but maybe some extra information or studio photos/clips would alleviate the pressure. Chris should've never mentioned the title because it left us expecting something soon and opened the door for the infamous BooBooBoo to troll this forum with false information.
  4. Random thought: I'm wondering if the lotus flower will show up in the album or single artwork. It is connected to Indian culture, especially as a religious symbol. No problem. :)
  5. Aww, no offense to @I ran away but how could I Ran Away (a freaking amazing b-side, but still only a b-side) beat a true classic song Sunday Bloody Sunday? Oh well. :p At least it kept the streak going! I Ran Away vs Coming of Age (Foster the People)
  6. Radiohead - Kid A
  7. Reviving 12 year old threads seems to be a new trend around here. ;) This is a sensationalized and very cheesy account of when I became a Coldplay fan after hardly caring about them when I was younger. Somewhere long ago The old time Coldplayers would post Somewhere long before my heart Was changed by this amazing band Was built up out of the sand Was made into a really grand part of my life And I heard them on the radio one night underneath the summer stars And I saw them on a TV show, a band with a career that had gone far I was loving every part They were brighter than the stars... I wouldn't see the earth again, flying at the speed of sound
  8. Violet Hill - 12 Speed of Sound - 10 Midnight - 8
  9. The only reason I haven't posted much lately is because of personal commitments such as school. Don't worry @I ran away, I haven't forgotten about this game. :)
  10. The current total is: What If 7 GPASUYF 1 White Shadows 1 Life in Technicolor ii 1 Even if I were to change my vote to What If, it is safe to say that its chances of survival are fading fast. My vote wouldn't have much of an impact because it is losing by a landslide. :sad2:
  11. Clocks - Coldplay 22 Paranoid Android - Radiohead 14 Citizen Erased - Muse 16 Do I Wanna Know? - Arctic Monkeys 10 Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand 8 Have a Nice Day - Stereophonics 11 Pride (In the Name of Love) - U2 14 Money - Pink Floyd 16 Only Love - Mumford & Sons 6 Hitchin' a Ride - Green Day 14 Dog Days Are Over - Florence & the Machine 4 Heart-Shaped Box - Nirvana 11 Centuries - Fall Out Boy 1 Canned Heat - Jamiroquai 5 Californication - RHCP 3 No One Knows - QOTSA 7 Let Me Drown - Soundgarden 8 I've never been a Fall Out Boy fan and Centuries is so overplayed... I have now reduced it to a single point.
  12. Well, singles only become available for purchase on Fridays. The band can drop the song on YouTube on any day of the week without "officially" releasing it. Midnight was that way. It was not available to buy for more than a month after the premiere of its music video.
  13. Hmmm. 10/21... 1021... 121... 1.21... 1.21 gigawatts! :D
  14. I was gullible enough to think that the supposed AHFOD-related picture from Warner Music was genuine. I have learned my lesson. I will no longer believe something that doesn't come from the band, a producer, or someone trusted in the music industry. I'm not saying I'm going to automatically call everything else complete BS; I'm just done getting my expectations up.
  15. The Fray - Over My Head (Cable Car)
  16. Life in Technicolor ii again. This time I'm probably going to commit to that vote! After its fairly early demise in the Viva Elimination, I am quite surprised that it's still alive here in the Singles Elimination. #SaveWhatIf
  17. I just realized that this post is a bit off-topic and would fit much better in the "Coldplay songs referencing other Coldplay songs" thread. Would any moderator be so kind as to move the post to that thread, please? Thanks! :)
  18. As for M.M.I.X., I think the Oracle said it has no real meaning. Chris said the same about the name Mylo Xyloto, though, and of course it has a meaning.
  19. I think UFO was supposed to be a companion track to Moving to Mars. They flow together well in my opinion and the lyrics share a similar theme of going somewhere unknown and far away. If you place MTM on the album directly after Major Minus (its preceding track on the ETIAW EP), UFO comes next. Maybe they were meant to be together before MTM was cut from the tracklisting.
  20. I hope the record label isn't concerned with Coldplay's music solely as a product. I don't want them to consider my favorite band to be not much more than a brand name. I fear they want the publicity (and therefore extra sales) from Coldplay going #1.
