so, my sis was browsing JK Rowling's page for info on Harry Potter stuff as usual. She has just told me a discovery she has made, Coldplay is on the website. :stunned: In the EXTRA STUFF section(click on the brush), one can see what appears to be a Coldplay ticket of some sort. to see this go to, jkrowling.com, and then enter the site. once u are there, click on the brush, or comb, and you'll enter the EXTRA STUFF section. Once you are there, behind the radio, you can clearly see the name COLDPLAY!! spooky, isnt it... :stunned:

Looking to build a social networking site to rival News Corporation’s MySpace.com, TransMedia said Thursday its upcoming service will carry songs from the digital music service The Orchard, which offers a catalog of more than 800,000 songs. In addition to its Glide Music Social Network and personal profiles, the New York City-based service lets users share their online photos and communicate through audio and video conferencing, as well as text and email. The service, an extension of the Glide Effortless service the company introduced last December, also offers shopping features so users can purchase items such as photo prints, chocolate, and soon music and ring ton…

  6. Chris Martin gave Coldplay fans quite a start last month when he announced at the Brit Awards: "We won't see you for a long time." COLDPLAY QUIT, the headlines screamed. This was news to the British rock 'n' roll quartet, left scrambling to deny rumors of its demise. "The thing about becoming a bigger band is your statements get made to be bigger than they really are," Martin says. The guitar-strumming, keyboard-playing singer and his sidekicks -- guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion -- headline a concert Monday at The Q. "We're having such a good time on this tour," Martin says by phone from Tampa, Fla. Coldplay was there e…

  9. FOO FIGHTERS frontman DAVE GROHL was thrilled when CHRIS MARTIN offered him a trip in his private plane - until he saw the aircraft menu. COLDPLAY had chartered a jet from Lisbon, Portugal, back to London following the MTV Europe Music Awards last November (05), and had enough room for the American band. However, Martin's clean-living lifestyle left carnivorous Grohl missing his meat meals. He says, "It sucked because it was all vegetarian food and you couldn't smoke, so it was like, this is lame! We're stuck on this thing for two hours." source: http://www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/mndwebpages/grohl%20unimpressed%20with%20coldplays%20jet_14_03_2006

  14. Regarding the article entitled, 'Fixed in fans' hearts: Coldplay on tour', I am annoyed by the line, 'a quartet of nice young working class boys...':x I have frequently read this - that the band are 'working class.' It seems to be considered an essential attribute in modern day Britain that anyone who is famous (whether a footballer, actor, politician, or especially a rock star) to be from the lower class. As though being working class is something to be proud of, rather than something you can't help. The fact is that NONE of the guys in Coldplay are working class. They all come from extremely well-to-do families, their parents being teachers, accountants etc, and …

If you've read the "10 things i don't like about Coldplay" article, you'll kno why I'm pissed. Personally, I get sick of stuck-up fags that have heard about 2 Coldplay songs talking about how simple the lyrics are, how they're weak, how they can't write about anything "Politik". I'm just writing this because the pressure of all the gay critics can sometimes make you dout yourself, or the bands you like whatever. Just remember: THEY ARE C#%TS, Coldplay rock, Simple Plan suck, and the New York Times don't know shit.

  21. Chas Bowie's Report on "Acquire the Fire," the New Vanguard of Teen Christian Revivals Five thousand teens are on their feet in the Memorial Coliseum as their host, Joel Johnson, a preacher in blue jeans and tennis shoes, talks about the necessity of endurance. In doing so, he's used the word "endurance" about 60 times in the past four minutes. Johnson is in his late 20s, and looks like a darker-haired version of Zach from Saved by the Bell. The teenagers have just watched a fast-paced, heart-pounding film about Jesus' experiences with endurance. The film looks like a Ridley Scott production: enormous crowd scenes of bloodthirsty Philistines, a pounding gothic synth sc…

Fix You' tourNow the band is touring behind last year's X&Y, an album that further cements its amalgam of U2, Echo & the Bunnymen and '80s Brit pop bands into the Coldplay sound. Martin still often sounds like he's channeling Bono doing a Jeff Buckley impression of Ian McCullough, but the band's comforting and pleasant songs and Martin's way with a melody and a heartening turn of phrase still expertly pluck at the heartstrings. The album's second single, Fix You, sums up the band's approach musically and lyrically. (Martin has on separate occasions said the song was inspired by ``Coldplay Jrs.'' Muse and Elbow.) It begins softly with a mournful church organ that …

  23. FILM and pop stars are furious over a new website that can publish details of celebrity sightings within minutes - with a map showing where the star was spotted. Popular gossip site Gawker.com's "stalker map" uses the Google map service to plot the location of the famous face as soon as possible after the tip comes in. Some readers even send in details of their sighting straight away by phone e-mail and extra staff have been employed to sift through the messages, so close to real-time tracking is possible. The Gawker Stalker site was launched yesterday in New York and among the first Hollywood stars mentioned were Julia Roberts and Colin Farrell, while Chris Marti…

It pays to think outside the box office to secure those ultra-hot seats. Katrina Lobley reports. Suzanne Pye was 25th in the queue outside Fish Records in Leichhardt at 7.30am the day the first U2 show went on sale. She gave up on buying her three tickets at 10am, when it became clear there were only single seats left for the now-postponed show at Telstra Stadium. When the second U2 show went on sale, the Annandale graphic designer covered all the bases, asking a friend to buy three tickets via the internet or the phone while staying in contact by mobile. Pye arrived at the same ticket outlet at 6.30am to discover she was 49th in the queue. "I wasn't that dishear…

In an interview with Chris Martin he said that they'd played around with `Fix You' before eventually returning to the first version. Just wondered if anyone had recordings of the other versions as it would be fascinating to hear them. Could it be that one of the other versions is actually better than the one they chose?
