I've been really pissed off with coldplay since the whole incident at the Brits awards. I mean the whole "Our fans are fed up with us and so are we" and all the other crap chris said was all just a publicity stunt so that they could get into all the major magazines the nxt day... and you can't say it's not cause who would pronounce that the band is won't be recieving an award for a few years and then the next day make an official statement that the band isn't breaking up?!? I went to a music store to look for the Talk DVD (the one I ordered wouldn't play on my DVD player :cry: ) and saw a weird Clocks single. The cover art wasn't the usual kind... but it actually had a pic of the band on it. This was what it looked like... On the back it said "Contains 'Clocks' and a never before released live version of 'Yellow' at the Hollywood Bowl." No other b-sides or anything. :huh: Is this cover some kind of a rarity? Should I be kicking myself for not snatching it up? Or was it just some makeshift type of cover? I've been to this one site that specializes in rarities and stuff and I haven't seen this on there. Hrrmmmm. :mean:

i was reading an article a couple of weeks ago and it said that every teenage boy develops a man crush on certain older men, nothing sexual, but they become completely entranced and enthralled with the man. Curious as to others thoughts on why Chris is so up and down about the talent of the band, how people interpret them and the success of X & Y? For example, he constantly makes negative statements like, "People are sick of us and we are too" and "A lot of people don't like us." He also comments about how "the next album will be a lot better" and their lyrics are "weak." Contrary, here in the US anyway, I never hear bad stuff about Coldplay! Watching the brits last week on tele was quite nauseating and basically ended my relationship with Coldplay and their music. Chris Martin is slowly turning into bono and all the press that goes with it, and watching him drink champagne with Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs on thursday night showed how Coldplay have changed for the worse. The last album was patchy and sounded overproduced, it was a band who believed their own hype, with U2 echo pedals and overblown ballads. Umm, they're not breaking up are they? I really dont think they are. I dont know exactly what was said at the Brits but I'm okay with them taking a break.......but people come back from breaks. I also seem to think that the band is close but that Jon and Chris are closer to each other as are Guy and Will. Is this really the end of Coldplay? On one hand, I hear reports that Chris was not serious at the Brits. On another, I hear that he's spoken with close family members that the band is indeed splitting up. I'm so confused. And this has me spinning. Please someone clarify. On the E! website, eonline.com, there is an article about the remarks that Chris made at the Brits. And also today on the news nightly E! does there was a minute segment on Coldplay and how they talked to Madonna and how they won.
