I found this pics online of all the guitars Jon had in his roadcase for the VLV tour. It answers more than a few questions we've had on here concerning just what he takes on the road.

Hi I know there's been lots of questions about this but my dad has finally decided to buy me an electric guitar. I'm going to the US in a couple days and I'm hoping I find a guitar I like there. The thing for me is the pedals and that stuff. I would like you to explain to me if it's not too much to ask what's each effect. I've seen pedals of "distortion, sustain, overdrive" and some others. I know what the first is of course butI don't know if those pedals of distotion can be set so that it does not sound like a heavy metal guitar you know to choose a level of distortion. And also I can do this with just the amp right?? so is it worth it if our budget is quite l…

Help meeeee........ (please :)) Hi, I have just formed a new band, and right now we are short of a member, the Chris of our band is missing, and this means the Rythm guitarist/pianist. I'm in desperate need of some coldplay songs which only require 3 people, i.e the Bassist, Lead G, and Drummer. I think I know that Talk, and In my place are in this category, but I'm not absolutely certain, could anyone name some that aren't really gonna be too crazily difficult to do please? (edit) P.S. If anyone wants to mention non-coldplay stuff without the need of the 2nd guitarist, then shoot! We just need some more meaningful stuff than Greenday and Muse is all!

I posted a thread a while ago http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51093 about my electric guitar which had developed a strange rattle. Nobody seems to know what's wrong with it so i'm back here again because the rattle keeps getting worse. It's so bad now that I'm sure it's going to fall to bits :o If anyone has any idea what it may be (it's rattling in the bridge) please let me know :) before I get :( and .

    Started by Guest Osaka Sun,

I've been playing acoustic for a few months now, and I'm trying to learn some songs from the boys, like "Sparks" from their debut album. I have my guitar tuned EADGBD and Capo is at the 6th fret, based on this: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/c/coldplay/sparks_crd.htm I'm not sure I'm understanding the chords from this version. I'm also having trouble getting the strumming pattern down right. Would anyone mind to help an amateur out on this? Is there a better way to play it? Thank you :)

  10. Hi all, My band and I are playing a benefit concert in March and we've come across this song we would like to perform. Here it is: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P95FnmOuRzA]YouTube- The Vine Band - From Ashes To Beauty[/ame] As it isn't a well known band I can't find much online. Secondly, I've been playing guitar for a while, however, I'm not too crash hot at tabbing out music. So what i'm asking is if anyone can tab out both the lead guitar part and the bass guitar part. If you could tab it into Guitar Pro or Power tab I'd be very grateful. thanks. :)

Sorry if this is really old..but can someone help me out with the chorus? I still haven't "trained" my ears and honestly I can't hear the acoustic guitar play behind the electric guitar.. Actually, I'm not even sure how the strumming or which chords Chris plays when the electric takes over. If someone could make a video or something with these chords, that'd be great. But if you don't, that's fine too. I'm just not sure whether he plays something different from what he plays in the acoustic version or not.. Thanks in advance if any help is given :) Oh yeah, even if this is for the acoustic version of the song, I'm sure he plays it the same in the electric vers…

Hey all. I'm a guitar player who has been playing now for 5 years. I'm bored with just my acoustic (and electric). I play in a band and I want to be able to plug my acoustic in an amp so I can move about. Unfortunately my acoustic is only acoustic (that means no electronics involved) so this won't happen right now. Does anyone know how (or where I can go within the west end of Glasgow, Scotland) I can achieve turning my acoustic into an electro-acoustic which can be plugged into an amp? I think this means I don't want just an acoustic pickup, apparently they're rubbish! Thanks in advance.

For you Radiohead fans, I've arranged There There for two guitars, so we can play it with a friend, and i've uploaded it to ultimate guitar. basically it's the first proper rythm part tab on that site, and i've added colin's bassline to the 2nd guitar. hope you like http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/r/radiohead/there_there_acoustic_guitar_pro.htm

  23. Hi there, We are hoping to have Fix You played on a church organ at our wedding when the boss and her bridesmaids are walking down the aisle. Can anyone please help with the sheet music ? Is it the same as for the piano?(exuse my ignorance!) We could just play the instrumental mp3 but it would be a shame not to make use of the spectacular organ. Many thanks
